Bug on Core Details page on web listings - any fixes?

Hello, 

I am having a bug issue with filling out the core details. This is my first time encountering this bug. When I click on the circle for "made from scratch", or anything below, it immediately flings me to the top of the page, and will not allow me to select anything. I cleared my history/cache/cookies/etc. I restarted my computer. I have searched around, but perhaps I am not describing this bug well in my search. 

I have been able to list from the Apple app, but can never get past the "core details" in the web browser. 

Any help would be most appreciated.

Are you using Chrome? I had this happen yesterday and had to switch browsers. It works fine in Safari and Firefox.

I was watching Jurassic Park the other day and when they got to the "item #whatever on Today's glitch list" I nearly wet my pants laughing because I my first thought was...hahahah this. This is Etsy. I've seen it a million times but that just struck me as hilarious at that moment.

Now I think I'll go play Jurassic Park on my VR headset. Getting eaten by a dinosaur seems pretty enticing these days!

I still cannot complete the core details on a new listing. I cleared cache/cookies. I choose I made it, made in 2024, then go to click on "made from scratch" and it jumps back up to the top of the page.

Did you try a different browser?

I'm still having the same problem but everything works fine in Firefox and Safari. So I just use that for listing. A p.i.t.a. for sure but try a different browser.

I am using Chrome. It is a pain to open it in another browser. I have two shops and like to keep them both open all the time. Now I have to switch browsers, log out of my other shop and log back into this one, just to create a new listing? That is a p.i.t.a.

No one else is having this issue?

I definitely am, today. Unable to list anything new. The core details page is broken. Admin says they're forwarding it to technical team (lol, not holding my breath as they're prob the ones who broke it) so very very frustrating. You'd think Etsy would want us to list items!! Haha

I'm using my computer and Edge as the browser.

I was able to do the same edit you're describing on 500+ listings with Edge.

The only issue I had was sometimes it took a long time to go back to the listings page once I clicked on Publish. I suspect that was due to my internet or internet traffic. Sometimes reasonably fast, other times painfully slow.

I'm having this issue too. Can't get past the first box that comes up. Just keeps flipping me back to the top.

I've been trying to finish a new listing but am unable to get Core Details to work. In the section "What is it?" I'm trying to click "A finished product" and the form glitches, kind of bounces and slides away. Same for "how does your shop produce this item". This has been happening since yesterday Aug. 7. Everything else in the listing form seems to be working but this issue is keeping me from uploading my listing.

Anyone know how to fix this or to alert technical support about the problem?

Same here, so frustrating!! (You'd think Etsy would WANT us to list new items lol) Have reported it to admin but I'm not holding my breath...in the meantime people are saying try using a different browser than Google? Like safari or bing? Good luck x

Same issue here with core details, it will not allow you to list an item.

Try copying a listing that the correct core details for your new listing.

I've created some new listings since the new form came out but I've always used an existing listing as the starting point.

Hi How do you copy a listing?

Where abouts do I find that?

I always use the duplicate feature and edit the new listing. Never had a problem

I have always managed to use the copy feature and change whatever needs to be changed. Try to use the most similar listing.

After I switched from Chrome to Edge the darn listing form worked. ?!?

Yep, I find Etsy has most glitches when using Chrome.  I bounce between Chrome & Edge a lot!

I had that same problem this morning with a copied listing where I edited it to create a new listing ... the core details would not stick (kept bouncing around), but when I published it, I saw that everything I clicked on actually did stick.  Good luck, hope it works for you too!

Cant click on any of these which means I cant save this listing as a draft and lose all of my input

What can I do?
