Hello, Etsy sellers. Today I opened the Etsy page to find my shop open without me logging on. Has that been a common issue with any of you? Someone was in my private data, for how long I have no idea I am in the High Desert of California, Victorville we do seem to have internet break ins. Millisecond outages just enough to be hacked. One day my account was turned off inactive. I hope to stay with Etsy, has anyone encountered this and how did you deal with it?
My shop is always logged on unless I specifically log out. Are you sure you logged out last time?
Same
What with the Captcha problem that has been going around, I often leave my main shop open so that I don't have to spend 15-20 minutes trying to log in.

Maybe you forgot to log out?
Have you went to your account settings > click the security tab to see if anyone else has logged in to your account??
If they have you need to change your password.

Make sure you recognize all recent sign-in activity for your account. You can sign out anywhere you’re still signed in.
I very rarely need to log in because I ticked the box that keeps me logged in on all devices/browsers.
Your (new) shop would have been opened as soon as you published your first listing. It then stays open regardless of whether you are personally logged in or not - unless you put it in vacation mode.
If you are worried about security then I recommend setting up 2 factor authentication and checking your sign-in history (as mentioned above).
I never log out, the captcha hassle is too much.
Etsy doesn't require a login very often so unless you expressly logged out then your shop will be open when you next load it up.
