TeamSocial Retweet Test Update

Hi Team,

Following is info and instructions for everyone participating in the testing of the TeamSocial retweeting App. 22 members signed up to test however including members already signed up for the app we are a total of 33.

For the Test we will need to do the following:

1. SCHEDULE OUR RECURRING #ETSYMNTT TWEETS - 5 PER DAY
Let each set up 6 tweets w/ our hashtag. If you need a way to AUTO-TWEET sign up for http://etsysocial.com/. If you have a subscription that expired let me know and I will renew it.

6 x 33 = 198 retweets each per day
in our twitter account, i'm thinking that will look like each of us posting 8 team retweets per hour

2. SIGN UP FOR TEAMSOCIAL - http://teamsocial.me/
Log into your twitter account that you use for the Team. Then follow the http://teamsocial.me/ link. Their system will recognize you as being part of our Team. Let me know if you have any problems getting set up.

3. TEAMSOCIAL 1 WEEK FREE TRIAL
Once we are all signed up that the TeamSocial site I will be in communication with Danial, the developer to establish that we all have a 1 week free trial active.

4. IF YOU ARE ON OTHER TEAMS
If you are already signed up with the app and retweeting with another, you will not be able to retweet with the team using TeamSocial :( The app is currently not set up to allow for multiple teams...not yet.

OK! Just checked out TweetDeck. Nine hours ago my Tulip Mouse House painting was automatically tweeted by my Twitter-Fu account. One hour ago MadamCoyote retweeted it (it showed a 9-hour orgin) and also Patrice Allison. 35 minutes ago ManAndStone retweeted it and 26 minutes ago Janet Purves retweeted it .... all the same original tweet showing it was emitted 9 hours ago. SO ... this was a current tweet, retweeted FOUR times. Things may be looking up! :)

OK ... here is the latest: That same tweet, Tulip Mouse House, which is now 12 hours old, has been picked up and retweeted by Salt of Mother Earth, JKC Murano, Phyllis Robertson, and Joyful by Nature, from 47 minutes ago to 12 minutes ago.

I have posted a new listing, Vintage Fabric Rose Ball ornaments, which have been in my family for years. It is lined up on TweetDeck to be tweeted a bunch of times this afternoon, evening, and into the night. We'll see how LONG it takes the App to discover any of those tweets. They are all the same. I copied and pasted them into the lineup.

Crafty Schmantzy and JKCMurano BOTH at 21 minutes ago retweeted "Les Fleurs" which fired off automatically 13 hours ago. I remember back on RoundTeam ... I would put in a new tweet on TweetDeck and I would see floods of it almost immediately coming from all different teammates. Our new App doesn't seem to sense our new/latest tweets ... and yes, I included the #etsymntt. It's kind of tweeting ancient history. I guess this isn't the worst fault in the world .... ?

Hi Bonnie, All of this is just along the way to what we want...without knowing what roundteam did to make their app work we have work backwards from their results to figure how to make own version. With the testing we see what's working and what's not working and make fixes and improvements to make it better and better.

Regarding the tweet you have scheduled in tweetdeck...if it's all the same tweet, the system should only pick it up once. This is because we want to follow twitter anti-spam rules regarding posting the same tweet more than once in a 24 hour period. So for your account too, you don't want to look like your spamming with posting that so many times.

Just your regular twitter-fu tweets is great for the test. We just looking to see if tweets are being retweeted by those of us taking part in the 2nd round of testing.

Ultimately we want to see new tweets being retweeted by the 14 or so of us. This is what the developer and I discussed...a robust retweeting!

@Clarissa, I am still not getting any scheduled tweets from EtsySocial. There about twenty tweets loaded and have selected a schedule.

Bonnie, Tweedeck will not tweet the identical tweets back to back. I will generate an error and ignore the tweet you have scheduled if i has already been tweeted within 24 hours. You can add sequential numbers to the tweets thereby making each different for testing purposes.

OH!!! I didn't realize that I shouldn't post the same new item throughout the day. (This would usually be ONLY for something brand new.) But I think you are saying that I could do so if I changed the wording of the Tweet?

Just looked on TweetDeck. In my "User" column, the tweet that I lined up on TweetDeck for delayed postings fired off as follows: 2 - one hour ago (and I don't know why, should have only been 1) - the same tweet 2 hours ago was sent off automatically - then automatically sent again 3 hours ago and then 4 hours ago. (Dang, I hope I sell this item after all of this!). Then, I see that Della Walsh retweeted this item (Vintage Rose Ball Ornaments) one hour ago, thank you Della.

If this is against the rules, should I go into my User column and delete what has transpired?

Bonnie, leave the ones that tweeted already. Edit the ones that are about to tweet.

I am surprised that tweetdeck actually tweeted the duplicate tweets. I doesn't let me do it.

I'm not using Tweetdeck right now and my items are being retweeted. I suspect that Tweetdeck is confusing the test.

Wow! TweetDeck is so handy. If I didn't use it, what would I now use? What are you using Patrice? What is the name of that other thing ... HootSuit, or something like that? I tried it a bit when I first opened my Etsy shop, but I found it overwhelming compared to TweetDeck. It would be nice if the new App would work well with TweetDeck ... but maybe it won't be a good match ... and if that turns out to be the case, I guess I will just have to learn to be more FLEXIBLE. I work hard to keep my body flexible ... guess I should do the same thing for my mind. LOL

I use Hootsuite and Around.io. I very happy with both. Tweetdeck took me away from craft time.

I do not pay anything for using TweetDeck. It looks like Hootsuite has a free plan? Is that comparable to using TweetDeck? I want to avoid paying yet another fee. I pay TwitterFu to automatically tweet for me, and I understand that Clarissa will be working with EtsySocial (I believe) to get us a good team fee rate for EtsySocial to handle our team retweeting. I want to avoid a third fee, so if I get something to replace TweetDeck, it needs to be free (since we are now wondering if the retweeting problem lies somehow with TweetDeck).

Hello😎. I am still not getting retweets beyond about 1-4, occasionally 7-10. How non-identical does each need to be over any sent within 24 hours? Does changing a hashtag or wording count as unique? Or is there something else wrong with my account?

I just checked again on TweetDeck just now. Same for me! I see three retweets for my most recent automatic tweet (done for me by Twitter-Fu). Nope, it's not happening for me except for one day when we first started this test. Something has apparently changed (but not on my end) ... and that was the end of the retweeting success for my shop. :(
