Hi everyone! I thought I'd start a thread where you can all tell us a little about yourselves.

I guess I'm starting us off...

My name's Karena & I'm co-founder of Craft Cult (along with Julian). I take care of the design side of things, as well as user-interface & product development with help from Julian.

I'm an artist & illustrator, & have been selling on Etsy since early '06, but my shop's been closed for some time as I've been so busy - but this year I'm relaunching my shop & blog!

My preferred media are dip pen & ink, printmaking, collage, digital & mixed media.

I think that's about it in a nutshell. Now it's your turn... :)

Re: Welcome! Introduce Youself!

Hi,

I'm excited about being a part of this team showing my work and work of others that I love. Team work is what it's all about. I do original watercolor paintings, am new to etsy (Feb. 11) and hope I can sell some of my paintings that I enjoy to others. Making friends on etsy has been fun in the chat rooms. Bonnie

Hi I'm Nena
I have been crafting all my life! I love a bargain, and I love to get a really well made item at a bargain, therefore I started my Etsy shop with just that in mind. I love working with color and love cotton yarn, glass beads, natural stone beads, metal beads and wooden beads! You will find lots of color and variety in my shop, please stop on by and take a look! So proud to have an Etsy shop as an outlet for my passions! ♥

Hello, I'm Michelle. I've been making cards for about 15 years now, and it's a craft I've never grown tired of. I do a little bit of scrapbooking on the side, but my true love is cards. I especially love to make detailed cards with pieces cut out, etc.

I love Craftcult and am on the site multiple times a day. I've also used their advertising, with good results.

Hi, my name is Amy. I love to work with my computer to create precious prints, I have been on etsy for about two months, so I am new to this whole selling thing. I found craft cult in my Google analytics report, I never heard of it before, I guess they featured some of my stuff there, don't know how I got there but saw some activity coming from there.

Re: Welcome! Introduce Youself!

We are Lisa and Alex.... potters extraordinaire.

Can I say that?

We make, well, pottery. We love texture and humor and try not to take ourselves too seriously.

We work in collaboration and recently learned that our way of working is quite odd even among pottery spouse teams. Neither of us does specific jobs, but we both work at each step passing work back and forth between us. It has been very liberating as an artist to have a vision, begin working, and then let go of that vision and allow the piece to grow organically.

Re: Welcome! Introduce Youself!

Hi (waving at everyone)!
My name is Yassiry. One of my greatest passions is crafting. I love creating pretty things. I started making a business out of it in '05 when I was pregnant with my daughter. I did everything from soaps and lotions to boutique girl's clothing. I still sew a bit but since I have a REALLY bad back, I've had to cut down on sewing almost in it's entirety :( I've taken up ribbon art and bow making because my daughter loves them and I'll soon be making children's jewelry so I'm really looking forward to that. I opened my shop on Etsy and since then I've met many wonderful people and I'm hoping to meet more of those ;)
I'll bore you with more details later...my daughter is harrassing me to watch a Mickey Mouse episode...again ;p Take care! Yassiry

Re: Welcome! Introduce Youself!

Hi Karena and Craft Cult fans!

We are two best friends who started an eco-friendly Etsy shop to share our creativity. Mistle and Toe, our shop name, is in memory of a holiday costume we wore together (one of us mistle, the other toe :). We just joined Etsy this Fall as a store, and are learning a lot through the process.

We hope to inspire people with our creations and to help them create eco-friendly lifestyles as well.

Thanks for all you do at Craft Cult, it is such a gem! It definitely takes up a good percentage of our oogling online :)

Re: Welcome! Introduce Youself!

Hi all! My name is Noelle and I am half of Hortense and Eloise. My mom, Janeen, is my partner in crafting crimes. I remember doing craft bazaars back in the early 80's selling yo-yo wreaths in my mom's craft shows. About one year ago my mom had close encounter with death, I realized how important our time together is. So out came the sewing machines! We affectionately refer to ourselves as sweatshop one and two. We make the jointed velveteen bears and rabbits she has for thirty years, along with some old favorites from each of our growing up. I just discovered craft cult and heartsy this week and LOVE it!

Re: Welcome! Introduce Youself!

Hi! My name is Melody & I'm addicted to Etsy & Craftcult! :)
I love making jewelry & mixed media collages. I'm always learning new things & changing it up, because crafting relieves stress for me and keeps me sane!
I've been having a blast meeting people here on etsy & it's really gotten my creative juices flowing.
My shop has been open since '09 but I didn't get serious about it until the end of '10. I just opened a 2nd shop, NatureAngelsToo, to separate my art and paper products from the jewelry & vintage.
I enjoy learning from everyone here on etsy - there are so many incredibly creative, clever folks here!

Cheers!

Hi everyone,

I'm Tracey and I own the etsy store Ben & Jess.

I specialise in bespoke birthday, wedding and baby shower bunting and party favor bags. All lovingly made by my every own hands. My fav material to use is scrapbooking paper.

My love of making comes from my mum. She was always making something and sewing. I loved her sewing room - such a great place to play.

I'd love to one day make Ben & Jess my full time job - one can only dream!

Tracey.

Re: Welcome! Introduce Youself!

Hello everyone! My name is Len and I've been in love with paper since childhood. Paper is my passion and my shop, Uninhibitedspirit provides me the pleasure of presenting news ways with useful things for home, life, gift, and design such as Repurposeful journals, hand crafted In Treatment card sets, personalized notecards for those special moments in life like baby showers and wedding favor card sets.
I'm rooted in the concept of recognizing that every occasion is an opportunity to create lasting memories. Although uber busy with work, home, furkids, and spouse, I am gratefully supported in my quest to take my passion above and beyond. My goal is to go deeper into my paper addiction and not just present my artistic expression but connect with the handmade and creative community as a whole.

I'm looking forward to the journey ahead with everyone.

Oh yeah, one more thing...
I'm a major people person and quite talkative (in case no one noticed:)

Re: Welcome! Introduce Youself!

Hello everyone!
I've been on etsy for a long time shopping for goodies, window shopping, or just plainly hanging out, but finally last week I decided that it was time to open my own shop. Visits are appreciated :)
I am a printmaker by profession, and I am lucky enough to be able to run a printmaking studio, and teach classes in printmaking and book arts. My shop, however, is featuring dress up felt dolls. As a mom of two young boys who are constantly discussing cars, helicopters, trains, and space shuttles - I longed for feminine company, so I started creating it stitch by stitch....

Re: Welcome! Introduce Youself!

Hello All!
My name is Kelly and I work primarily in paper clay making anthropomorphic ornaments and sculptures inspired by mid-century illustrations and ceramics as well as literature. I also make one of a kind felt elf doll ornaments. I'm currently working on a major project that's been taking me away from my Etsy shop (I designed a 5 foot fiberglass gnome with an Alice in Wonderland theme that needs to be surface sculpted and painted by mid May for an event at our arboretum)but I hope to check in at least once a week to see what's going on in Etsyland. I look forward to getting to know you all :o)

Re: Welcome! Introduce Youself!

Hi there, I'm Marianne and my friend Mamta told me about this team.

I recently closed my original shop and opened a new crochet shop with a "catchier" name that is very special to me.

I haven't had any sales since opening in January but I am very positive that things will change as I learn to market my shop better.

I delighted to be a part of this team and hope to learn and share alot!

Onward to a prosperous future......IT IS MANDATORY :0)
