Marcus - is it common for your website to go down?

Marcus, it's hanging on with a stuffy head, the GI stuff pretty much over. I've been plugging away with misc paperwork, why spoil a good mood with paperwork.

Good thing it's rare for me, I get pissy if not feeling perfect.

Sheryl, no it is pretty rare.

I am paying for server space and bandwidth, but the maintenance is primarily my responsibility. Downtime is almost always my own fault, one way or another. So much I have dropped in this regard, I do not even have a regular schedule of maintenance.

It would be quite easy to have my home computer 'ping' my server every 15 minutes or so to make sure it is still alive, then let me know if there is a problem. Either way, not a huge deal, as the traffic is not that profound, however, I hate paying for advertising that goes to a blank screen.

I'm in a cleaning frenzy too Sheryl.
I visited my dad yesterday and now he's going to visit me HERE.

I cleaned weeded out our little plastic covered green house. I've still got fava beans, beets. kale and walking onions as per CG's council.
I planted garlic and radishes.
Can't wait to show my dad the place, he's never been here.

Ahhh. Thanks Marcus. One of my "new" favorites. It was one of my dad's faves too. We played it at his memorial. It sounded awesome in the art museum hall we were in.

I just thought the calculator was interesting, gave me a sense of how many sales per view, average price, etc. not sure what I can do with the info, but I was interested.

Yup. My shop was valued at like $3. using the calculator. It's going to take me the rest of my life to figure out how to market myself to this world. It doesn't come as a surprise though:)

was listening you a younger poets program yesterday on BBC and they were just having a ball reading their easy rhyme, word association (kinda rap) stuff and just enjoying themselves.

I love doing stuff when I feel like a 6 year old again. It's the best. Remembering how to enjoy something just because it exists or because it's fun! Thanks for the reminder.

Oh, and we just watched Super 8 a few days ago. I loved it. I caught myself saying "this is one of the best (new) movies I've seen in a long time!" It was fast, had gorgeous detail, and the kid actors were all really good. I was impressed. Who cares what happened after the alien was revealed (o.k. the end was sort of slow and a little lame)?

i have actually never seen a tarkovsky movie on the big screen. several have played at the college, but it is a massive event to get myself in a room with that many voices and i like to save my ammo for something that is amy's favorite

Gosh Laura, your work is inspirational! Absolutely gorgeous. I don't know why the sales aren't there.

I had in mind a Norse ship with a knot work border....hmmmm. The original Jelli were Norse and many generations ago found themselves in Scotland, then England, at least my ancestors.

I'll see if I can tempt you, but praise from someone of your talent is wonderful in and of itself!
