@DarnellsDogCo WELCOME TO THE ART TEAM JOHNNA! We're so happy you're here. And you have a fun pet shop. Darnell actually looks a lot like my Terrier/Chihuahua/everything else mix. Have a great weekend!
Wow, so many talented people. I started my Etsy shop selling items my daughter brought back from Ghana to sell. Then we added in things I no longer needed for my floral company or retail store. Then we added in the sewing and crafting things I needed to thin out. Add on the antique stuff I started collecting from friends and relatives that are no longer with us. Then, I found the wood crochet hooks. Due to arthritis and working as a nurse for 50 years, my hands aren't great. These allowed me to crochet which I'd had to stop years ago. So, I decided to share them with others. We now have Sages Sundries that sells the fabric and other items and this store is just antiques and crochet/knitting items. Our shops are as green as possible both in reuse of items and packaging.
@Super3DPrinter shop manager>settings>options>download tab. The order items is in the middle section, along with several other useful csv files

My name is Katherine Neurohr and my Shop is SeaGemsbyKatherine.Etsy.com I have an MBA and BS from Monmouth University in NJ and after several years in Corporate America, I got my Real Estate License in New Jersey in 1995. I had a successful career in NJ selling Waterfront homes until I relocated to Florida in 2010. I am now licensed in Florida, but my true passion is making Jewelry from Sea Glass. Each sale that I make I donate a portion to an Ocean friendly charity to help save our Seas. My store has been Open since October 2023 and I have had 1 sale. I am hard at work, seeking ways to improve my store and my jewelry to learn to increase sales and find out how to move up in the Search Engines !! Please help me figure out how to convert my views to sales !
@SeaGemsbyKatherine Welcome to the ART Team Katherine. How are you doing? I hope you and your loved ones are all supporting each other.
Your jewelry is beautiful. I expect you'll be very popular. We just need to introduce your work to the world and get you noticed. I see you're on Facebook and Instragram. We have LOTS of activites designed to bring buyers to your shop
I am re-taking my photos and looking again at my tags and titles. I seem to have been able to increase my traffic but not my sales. I am running a Valentine Sale now that is 30 % off but this has not generated a sale. On shopowner said my Jewelry is too cheap ! It looks not valuable. What do you think ? I really want to start generating some sales.
Hi Katherine,
Very, very new here myself, but been in the creative art/craft market a long time.
Your work indeed looks wonderful and presented beautifully—it is very reasonably priced and doesn’t match the high-quality displayed in your photos.
It’s always easy to lower prices but not to raise them. I’d consider boosting the price now— on the early end to establish your place—but just a bit. There’s a tough balance between the competitive marketplace on Etsy and “perceived value” of works.
All the Best,
Diane
@SeaGemsbyKatherine Your photos, titles, and tags look good from what I see.
The best thing you could do to generate traffic and sales for your shop right now is to keep making and adding more jewelry. More jewelry = more traffic = more sales. Once you have 150 pieces, Etsy will boost traffic to your shop. Tags and titles help customers find you if they are looking. Sales do entice if they know you. But, it's necessary to have a marketing plan to actively invite people to your shop.
Here's a simple template I use for marketing. The key to marketing is answering these questions:
2) Where can I find my customers? Are they on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, elsewhere?
3) How does my product help my customers?
Once you know the answers to these questions, you'll know what to do and where.
Pricing can be difficult to determine because it is mostly psychological. I'm sure this is something you notice a lot in real estate. But, there are several methods you can use to find what works best for you. Here are common methods:
Cost-plus pricing: Selling price = cost price + profit margin
Competitive pricing: Set a price based on what the competition charges.
Price skimming: Set a high price and lower it as the market evolves.
Penetration pricing: Set a low price to enter a competitive market and raise it later.
Value-based pricing: Base your product or service’s price on what the customer believes it’s worth.
Also, this is historically a slow time of year for sales. About 75-80% of sales occur during the holiday season (October - December). Personally, I focus on making as much art as possible from January-August. Then I try to sell it all during the holidays. All other sales are just a bonus
Thank you for the Advice Mike.
Thank you for the Reply.
Hi everyone,
My name is Amanda and I am a new seller Etsy. Its great to be apart of the community. My shop is focused on stickers at the moment and I am in the process of learning and growing more familiar with the platform and trying to create a brand.
I am open to any feedback or critique. So far I've made 5 sales and I'm feeling so motivated to get better at this.
Thank you all for having me.

Hello. I have been making handmade children's dresses in Turkey for about 5 years. I have two daughters. And I often get inspired by them
Hello Etsy Friends,
Just opened my shop with a few products to start with: @LDianeJohnsonArt
I’ve been a career painter/graphic designer/illustrator—and now surface pattern designer—for decades, been on the Web since ‘95, a customer on Etsy since ‘07, and just now opening a storefront here. Have studied and taught traditional Representational/Impressionistic art in the U.S. and Europe and enjoyed being rep’ed by brick-and-mortar galleries for my originals; prints are marketed online.
My shop will be focused on my fabric/wallpaper designs applied to products. We’ll see how it goes!
Thanks Mike for the invitation — never would have found this community
Looking forward to exchanging with you all and supporting your efforts for success.
All the Best, Diane
My name is Melissa Sherman. I am the owner and creator of the shop MADDOGCRAFTIN. I am a married mom to 2 wonderful boys. I love crafting and creating new things. I originally was using Cricut Expression and upgraded to a Cricut Explorer Air 2 one year ago and can’t stop using it. I started making SVGs a couple months ago for myself because I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted when searching. I have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of making my own SVGs. Here is the link if you would like to look at it: https://maddogcraftin.etsy.com. I would also welcome any feedback on the shop as well.
Hi Melissa,
I’ve been here mere days myself. Welcome aboard! Can tell you’re enjoying what you do—your shop page is energetic, and fun to view.
Wishing you all the best with your little part of Etsy World:)
Diane

Hi everyone!
My name is Ayesha and I am a self taught artist who specialises in realism. I sell prints of my artwork, which features portrait drawings as well as wellness and spiritual themed pieces
I also do portrait commissions of people and pets, and advertise this service on my Etsy. I’m looking to start creating more artworks which can be personalised for my customers.
I’m currently struggling with sales, and knowing what art I should be creating to sell. I’d love to connect with other artists through this group and help increase our visibility. I’d also love any constructive criticism anyone may have for improving my shop!
My shop is https://ayestheticsart.etsy.com
@AyestheticsArt WELCOME TO THE ART TEAM AYESHA! We're so happy you're here.
Your shop looks beautiful. The best advice for you right now is to just keep making art. More art = more traffic = more sales. Once you have 150 pieces, Etsy will boost promotions to your shop. Then things like SEO, marketing, etc will start to become more important.
As for what you should make, it seems like your Venom piece is very popular. You may want to create more pieces like that. And emphasize your custom pieces too.
Thanks Mike! Yes I'm currently making some more marvel art now
