Would you please some one help me to see my problem about the bug at checkout and I will so appreciate if someone suggest me how this problem will be solve it .

I have the many customer to let me know that they can not to buy my items , it have at the error "there was a problem with your order. please try again” at the checkout.

I found the problem since 5 days ago and also chat with Etsy support to reported the problem ,at the begging they had checked my account and said my account is fine and asked me to check with my PayPal account and yes I had checked with PayPal , they said my account is no problem which can be received money without any problem . I contacted with Etsy support 2 times and they give me the my ID request number by email and they will  a deeper look into the situation .

But it seem to be hopeless for us and keep to waiting for Etsy contact and solve it for us . 

I have zero sales since this problem happened ,my repeated customer had tried to contact us to report the problem because they love to place the order again ,but it impossible to order it since this problem . 

At this morning ,some customer let me know that it have some error as some thing went wrong at the checkout .

I have 2 shop on Etsy which use the same PayPal account email address for both of them  ,

but the another one of my shop ,it seem to don't have any error at the checkout .It have only the problem of the error at the checkout for only one my shop .

I never found this problem before on my shops and I am so glad to see that there are this community that many people in the community help together .  I really hope my shop will be back to sell to my customer again ,it lovely to make the product and sell it on Etsy .

Please Help us.
i have this issue "there was a problem with your order. please try again” at the checkout.
it still the error at the checkout ,we use many option to try to check it for you .

Several days ago, as of January 10, 2023, Shop were unable to receive any payment at all.
I've been waiting 13 days for tech support to get me an update.

I have zero sales since this problem happened, but it impossible to order it since this problem .
anyone else having this issue? Have you had this issue before? If so how was it fixed?

My store is still not fix .

2 weeks and counting.

I really hope Etsy will help us to fix it  in very soon.

After I replied on my ticket of the problem on yesterday that i still want Etsy help to fix my problem at the store .

Today It is very disappoint that Etsy support closed my ticket one for this problem as "This request is complete".

How is complete ? I still have the problem ,my store can not to sell to my  customer ,it still unable to complete the checkout ,

the error still there .T_T

No #standwithsmall anymore.

I'm experiencing the same issue on and off since October or so. I've since opened an indepth analysis with Etsy's tech team and am waiting to hear back. It's been over 2 weeks now without any word back and I get the generic "watch your inbox / junk mail for tech support to e-mail you back". Beyond frustrating.
I have 4 stores (3 digital and 1 physical product store) and the only issue is the physical product store. I don't receive these error messages for the digital products and haven't had any potential customers reach out to the digital stores. 
Has anyone received information on what could be causing this? I've had people try as guest purchase and logged in, on and off the app, trying different web browsers and in some cases not using Apple products and nothing works

I am sorry that you have the problem is long time , i have the problem as 3 weeks and continue, yes they had checked it    for my shop and said my shop is fine.

i have 2 shops, both of them is physical products, my another shop is unaffiliated. But it is less sales than this shop.

i still have one rest ticket for this problem and try to follow up Etsy to ask the technical team to fix it but i still don’t receive the reply from them yet.

I try to check with Etsy chat live as everyday , they said my problem had passed to the next level support team , they take a look it and working on it , but I don’t know , what exactly they working it , because no any update from tech team.

But on Friday, i had uploaded my ID photo for verification , some of Etsy support chat live had suggested me to do it , it might be the problem but  i am not sure it will work or not because some of the shop who have the same problem they had do it also but it still have the problem. 

it look hopeless to finding out the solution because the real technical team still not get back to look at the problem and fix it.

I got the reply from Etsy support that it is not about the verified my account issue , because it no need to verify the ID photo because i don’t have the Etsy payment for my shop and I already verified the payment with PayPal. So it is about the problem on the technical issue at the checkout .

I am still unable to sell. I have stopped contacting Etsy support. They are kind, they are so sorry etc. etc. when a customer tries to buy and goes through support. They are kind, they are so sorry and then they suggest my customer try buying the item from another shop. I do no feel like they are trying to help at all. I am beyond frustrated.

Guys, recently I met another person who had the same problem. Luckily her problem was solved. This person gave me one piece of advice, told me to contact etsy support non-stop via email, chat, give the ticket number, and so on, over and over again. It took her 3 days, but she ended one chat and started another, almost day and night. I know it may be silly and childish, but what else is left for us...

24 days , my problem is still not fix ,i still don't receive any reply from Etsy Technical Team  yet .

Every day when I check it with Etsy support Chat live ,they said " they are still being reviewed "  

What exactly they doing to help the seller ? It is nearly 1 month to wait for them to fix the problem of the error at the checkout .

it have the good news that a few shop had fixed ,but there are many other store and me ,we still don't receive the help to fix our problem .

I belive that all the seller try to be the best service and best thing for our customer on Etsy .

But why Etsy don't take a serious to help the seller . I really unsure that we are the part of this great community.

I now  have a routine for this problem. I contact Etsy support. I tell them the problem. I tell them my tech support ticket number. I explain it has been 22 days now. I explain that I reverified my bank account, I reentered my credit card. They say they understand my concerns. They are so sorry. They "humbly advise" me to wait patiently to hear back from the higher level support. Then I end the conversation and do one or two things. If I feel totally beaten I have a cry. If I am furious I go for a walk till I calm down. When they sign off with the hash tag "support small" I am usually furious. Etsy is not supporting us at all.  I feel totally beaten.

im so sorry this is still happening to all you guys its effecting and really hope that Etsy get a grip on this and sort it out, its really not good enough and should of been sorted out ages ago!!

@YosFinds   I'm very sorry. 

You know, everyone "understands your concerns", "we're so sorry".  Then "wait for a higher level of support."  But it doesn't negate the fact that it  shouldn't take a ridiculous amount of time.  It's incomprehensible to me.  I'm not a patient person, and have less patience for matters which (in my opinion) should not take this long to get resolved.

i would love to know what the issue is, surely it cant be that difficult to sort it out, come on Etsy Tech guys get a grip and get this corrected and let these shops start selling again, this should not be happening!!?? most of these shops are really high sellers so Etsy are losing out to while this is going on!

It is depressing. 

I saw a potential customer post on twitter about this to Etsy twitter. They said they been trying to shop for days now and couldn't check out. They had contacted Etsy support who told them to buy from someone else but it still didn't work to check out for them. 

I am not sure what it is that he wanted to make him even go back to Etsy. Maybe he shopped here before. I couldn't believe it. Imagine customers getting so frustrated they contact etsy on twitter cause they can't check out?

Wow. 

What is the tech team doing? Shouldn't a working checkout be a HIGH PRIORITY? 

And to tell customer to go buy from someone else, it makes it sounds like Etsy encourages resellers with items you can just find anywhere! Because normally you wouldn't just be able to find someone else's art och unique find somewhere else.

@EnergyPeace  Honestly the amount of money the Tech guys get paid they should be able to sort any issue out in a day!! this is just ridiculous now and a total waste of Etsy and shareholder money! what a joke!!

If I knew Etsy could not fix this problem, I would  look into a different venue, but I have spent 10 years working on my Etsy shop and building up my customer base and shop reputation. I feel like I should not have to throw that away.

After I wait for about 3 weeks , Today I had got the reply on my ticket from Finance team again that it because the problem of buyer's Paypal .

oh my good ,it seem to back to the beginning again . I show them again for many order from my old customer and new customer who can not to buy my item from Chockypetshop but they can buy it from my another shop on Etsy  ,these customer who is the one who unable to complete the checkout at the Chockypetshop . 

they use the same buyer's paypal account .

it is very disappoint because it mean my problem still stuck at the finance team ,not pass to the Technical team as  we got the replied from Etsy Chat live as every day . oh my good ,why you had punished me like this . I am try to be the best seller to my customer and do everything to be the good seller , but now it is very hopeless .

I am very sorry to hear this. How discouraging for you and for the rest of us who are all in this situation. I am finding that the customers who can not buy with me can buy at other Etsy stores with no trouble. So I think the PayPal is not the problem

@Chockypetshop   How frustrating.  If it's the Buyer's Paypal, then it doesn't make sense that they can purchase from your other Shop (or another Seller's Shop). To be stuck all of this time without a resolution.  I wish I could think of something to suggest.

Holy smokes. I got an order on my Etsy shop! The first in three weeks.  I am not sure what happened, I talked to Etsy support every day but no one actually got back to me. It is possible that something was done in the back ground  by the Etsy support team that I was not aware of. I have tried a number of tweaks to see if they made any difference. I reentered all my credit info, I reverified my bank account. Today I was renewing a listing and I got a notice that there was a problem with my return policy. So I edited my return policy on every listing current and expired in my shop.  So I do not know why it is working but my shop is working!

I was about to give up and just close my Etsy store.
