Hi there ,

Would you please some one help me to see my problem about the bug at checkout and I will so appreciate if someone suggest me how this problem will be solve it .

I have the many customer to let me know that they can not to buy my items , it have at the error "there was a problem with your order. please try again” at the checkout.

I found the problem since 5 days ago and also chat with Etsy support to reported the problem ,at the begging they had checked my account and said my account is fine and asked me to check with my PayPal account and yes I had checked with PayPal , they said my account is no problem which can be received money without any problem . I contacted with Etsy support 2 times and they give me the my ID request number by email and they will  a deeper look into the situation .

But it seem to be hopeless for us and keep to waiting for Etsy contact and solve it for us . 

I have zero sales since this problem happened ,my repeated customer had tried to contact us to report the problem because they love to place the order again ,but it impossible to order it since this problem . 

At this morning ,some customer let me know that it have some error as some thing went wrong at the checkout .

I have 2 shop on Etsy which use the same PayPal account email address for both of them  ,

but the another one of my shop ,it seem to don't have any error at the checkout .It have only the problem of the error at the checkout for only one my shop .

I never found this problem before on my shops and I am so glad to see that there are this community that many people in the community help together .  I really hope my shop will be back to sell to my customer again ,it lovely to make the product and sell it on Etsy .

Take a look, it's supposedly been solved? (I was hurrying a bit so might have missed something.)  At the very least, someone there will probably be able to help you contact the correct people at Etsy.

Several days ago, as of January 11, 2023, Shop were unable to receive any payment at all.
Every customer cannot pay our shop at all. Not just some people seem to be everyone in recent days, unable to payment at all.

I have tested myself from a different account and I get the same error too. When I try to purchase from another person's shop. All is fine but I and neither can my customers purchase from my store.

Submit a ticket to Etsy support, don't do chat. Chat usually doesn't look deep into your account and won't see more internal issues. Tell your customers to send you snapshots of what they are seeing and send them all to Etsy  via email.

I sent a tweet about it. I've done this before, thinking maybe if the problem goes public, Etsy might pay a little more attention?  This is what I tweeted:

I don't know if it'll help, but maybe if more people do that, and including Etsy as a hashtag, it might help...?

This may or may not help anyone else having problems, but I had a customer message me and tell me they had problems checking out.  I had originally suggested that they log out and buy as a guest, but I tried a brand new, reserved/custom listing first and they were able to purchase while logged in!  It's a little extra work but might be good to help keep a customer while Etsy sorts out the issue.  It DEFINITELY still exists no matter what Etsy claims.

I found that it have more seller reported the exactly problem , but the problem is still not fix . How long it will take to fix ?

it is very seriously problem for the shop which can not sell and no any feedback from Etsy .

It so sad that Etsy support still not pass my case to Etsy Engineering Team to solve it for my shop , I have zero sale as 12 days until now ,It seem to hopeless T_T

Because my customer try to buy it from my shop . It still show the error at the Checkout as the same ,they can not to go to other step to buy it ,it stop at the error at the Checkout .

I have a buyer today who has PAID THREE TIMES for an item from my shop and the order is not showing. ETSY GET A GRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are losing money too. Etsy is not a very professional company. I thought it was a legal obligation for a company operating in the UK to have a LANDLINE PHONE number so that customers (sellers and buyers) can contact you. Just so unprofessional and uncaring. Ebay are SO MUCH BETTER now. They have improved while Etsy has declined. So sad to see.

@ShowpieceAntiques  and we all know why Ebay has improved and Etsy has deteriorated! i was on  Ebay for hours last night looking for items, and then came on the Etsy and was only on there less that 5 minutes browsing and then it crashed, its always crashing for me, just fault after fault.

Hi Guys,

are there updates ongoing, again? With an constant averrage of 3-4 orders every day it feels totally strange to drop to zero since 3 days... Combined with some black pictures and bank data missing messages it feels like somebody is changing something again.. Traffic says somebody is looking at my shop but it´s hard to trust the dashboard Do you have comparable impressions or is it only me and my shop?

The traffic at my shop is seem to normal but the problem is the bug at the checkout , it is the error when the customer try to buy the item from my shop . It stop and and can not to go the another step to pay it.

I have been having this problem since  Oct. With increasing frequency. I talk to Etsy support over and over and over. They advise me there is nothing wrong with my shop, They tell me to suggest the customer try a different browser, try ordering on a different device, try reinstalling the Etsy app. It is infuriating. Finally this morning they were also unable to shop at t my shop. I am now waiting on tech support AGAIN

i had checked it with your shop ,yes it still the error at the checkout ,we use many option to try to check it for you .

it show the error as "There was a problem with your order. Please try again."

we hope your problem will solve it soon  .
