Hi Guys
Can anyone confirm that this is a genuine etsy email address. conversations@mail.etsy.com
There is also a reply address: noreply@mail.etsy.com
I am wondering if its a scam because of the content which is as follows.
'Hello, Dear Seller. Welcome to Etsy technical support! Your item has been paid for by the buyer, but an error occurred in the order processing and the order cannot be displayed in your personal account, please enter your 𝐞-𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐥 in this chat to receive a customized form to verify your store. Thank you! '
It has the etsy branding and looks legit until you read the content.
Please advise.
It sounds like you got a notification email from Etsy about the message that the scammer has sent you via Etsy message.
So the email was an automated one from Etsy which got sent every time someone sent you a message on Etsy.
The message asking 'to enter your e-mail in this chat' was written by a scammer to your Etsy message.
SCAM don't do it
@KeyaniDesign: The eMail addresses are legitimate but spoofed, it is a SCAM - you might want to read the excellent post by @bradgoodell in https://community.etsy.com/t5/Managing-Your-Shop/How-to-Spot-a-Scam-No-a-Buyer-Doesn-t-Need-Your-Ema... and https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Why-do-they-ask-me-for-my-e-mail-in-order-to-make-a-p...
There is also official information from Etsy at https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000343128-How-to-Handle-Spam-and-Suspicious-Messages?segm...
Be sure to mark the message as SPAM so that it does not affect your stats.
SCAM. There are hundreds of posts about this in the forums.
Mark it as spam and continue on
I'm very sorry you were targeted by these scammers. There has been an infestation of them. Especially concerning is the fact they are posing as Etsy Support, as well as via a Chat. The ending of that email appears to be legit as well (I don't know how they pulled this off); it's definitely not legit. Thank You for reporting it. So many Sellers who don't come to the Forums, have been robbed by these thugs.

Correct.
Just to confirm. The email address is legit - it's the notification that Etsy sends when you receive a message from a buyer.
HOWEVER the message itself is from a SCAMMER!!! Mark it as SPAM.
Etsy already has your email address. These scammers want it to send you fake/phishing emails in order to obtain your credit/debit card details.
I got this too. It is very convincing but I am certain it is a scam. Why would they want an email address when they already have it?
Utter BA**ARDS!
