Please help me correct my date of birth.
it should be march 1, 1995 and i already changed it under account settings but on submitting legal document/ ID to be specific, it is showing my date of birth as May 1, which is why i am having trouble with my shop. please help.

Before posting on the Forums, please check if you are not bumping an old thread that hasn't seen any activity in a while. You can do this by looking at the dates of the most recent replies.

Are your legal papers correct? If not then you will need new legal papers that show the actual date of birth.
If you entered this information incorrectly when you first opened your shop, you will need to contact Etsy because it is probably in an area the account does not touch.
I'm having the same problem, I can't verify my passport because the expected date (on the upload document popup) is wrong.
Did you get any answers from Etsy? I've tried to send a ticket but they are not so responsive.
have u managed to fix the problem since cos i have started a new business on etsy but due to the fact that i misentered my legal date of birth it doesnt match the image of the passport i entered, i am unable to accept payments due to this and it is putting my entire shop on hold.
same problem with you guys and i sent the email to the CS they just keep sending the same email reply me
"amend your details to match the ID you have uploaded" but not allowed me to change anythings
Did anyone figure it out? I have the same problem. I sent an email to support, waiting for an answer.
Often the first response you get from customer support is an automated reply meant to weed out the people who contact support over common issues that can be easily solved.
Every eMail from Etsy support will have a link something like "I Still Need Help". Click on that link in each reply from Etsy (or actually reply stating that you still need help) to keep the report alive. You may have to do this innumerable times, before anything is done but do not give up. DO NOT open a new issue or contact Etsy multiple times about the same issue (doing so closes the one you already opened and puts the new one on the bottom of the pile).

We are other sellers. We can't help you with financial or private matters. You will need to contact Etsy directly via Community & Help=>Help. If you can't find the question you need, select any question and scroll to the bottom of the answer and click on I Still Need Help, then tell them what your problem is. It can take them up to 10 days to answer, so don't' send any other inquiries until you hear from them. If their answer doesn't address your question, keep clicking I Still Need Help until they actually answer what was asked.
