I have been going through my inactive items to update and renew and in one of my listings there is a video that doesn't belong to me. Mine is gone. I contacted chat on Friday and they said it's a system wide problem and the technical team is working on it. They should be able to fix it in 10-15 minutes.
On Saturday, I looked again and it was still there so I talked to chat again and she assured me it's been forwarded to a specialist team and they will contact me through email. Well, every time I hear that I give up, because they don't really forward anything in my opinion.
While I could just delete the video and make a new one, I'm hesitant to do so because I want them (if they ever look at it) to be able to see what went wrong.
I don't even know how this can happen? It is on one of my listings for personlized Christmas baubles and the video is for a magnetic bookmark. Is there a deeper problem? A store mix up? Makes me wonder what else is mixed up.
Here's an OP from last month that had the same problem:
Solved: MY LISTING VIDEO HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH ANOTHER SE... - Welcome to the Etsy Community
Don't know if it was resolved for that OP tho since the mod responded and then closed the thread.
I recall at least once reading about a similar situation here in the forums, maybe 6 months ago or longer. Hopefully someone else who remembers can figure out how to dig it up out of the archives.
Edited to add: Oops, looks like there's a more recent one that someone's already posted above.
@givemeacrown Yes, a search using the exact title brought up the one I linked to so I didn't go any further. Found the one you're probably referring to on page 4 of results:
Inappropriate video somehow replaced my listing it... - Welcome to the Etsy Community
And another one from around the same time where a Mod (who's no longer a mod) responded that they're working on it.
Wrong video plays on my Ad listing ... - Welcome to the Etsy Community
@TheVintagePineapple Thank you, that's the thread!
On page 2 there are suggestions it could be to do with the videos ending up with the same file name.
