I can’t seem to verify my account or my shop account; I have got an order waiting and I have been given 6 hours by Etsy to verify my account. It has been 4/6 hours so far and I cannot verify anything using my debit card or my new Revolut card (that the Etsy support team told me to register) The support team on Etsy has stopped relying to my messages and now I don’t have long till my store gets terminated because I cannot verify by account. Please help what do I do ?

This is a scam designed to catch the newbies and the unwary.

DO NOT engage any further and call your bank and/or your CC provider at once to cancel the card and to secure your accounts.

And then read all the info in this forum about the hundreds of scams and attempted scams happening here daily.

No one will terminate your account, don't worry about that.

this just happened to me 5 minutes ago and im so happy I stopped at the last minute. the guy sounded so upset too that I caught on lol

Your shop will not be terminated because you have fallen for a well known SCAM. Your bank account and credit card are now in the hands of thieves! Call you bank and CC provider immediately to hopefully save your funds.  This "buyer" (who probably asked for your email OR supplied a QR for you to scam) are nothing but common thieves.

Anyhing that is REALLY from Etsy will appear on your dashboard under the "messages" link> from Etsy link.

This scam DID appear on Etsy under “messages” saying Etsy acct was suspended due to not verifying bank info, and then provides a link where you put in the bank info. The “E” for Etsy looks weird on the msg.

It is in messages and it says its from Etsy but, look using a browser, not the app and see if its actually in the message part that says "From Etsy" thats the difference!

@JocelynFarquhar  what both @GieseDeseiGns  and I said--if it is legit it will be in the "from Etsy" link which is in the "message" folder.

Just happened to me- and again it appeared on my Etsy dashboard as a message. How does it get there?

@NewinByBysha: "I have been given 6 hours by Etsy to verify my account" When looking at your Messages using a browser, does THIS Message appear in the "From Etsy" section on your Messages page? If not, it is a SCAM.

@NewinByBysha   That was a scam message.  

Since you gave them financial information, call your bank and CC company to cancel the cards.    You may find them drained.

Etsy only sends messages in the Etsy message folder.  If using the app you have to be double careful.  

So sorry you were scammed.
