Two orders shipped together

I am so tired of the bugs with this “star” seller fiasco.  I shipped two orders to the same address with one label. I correctly entered the tracking info & carrier on the 2nd order. Both orders are showing complete, with the correct tracking number and have been delivered. And yet, the “star” seller progress states one of the orders was not shipped on time with tracking.

We've double-checked your Star Seller dashboard, and we can confirm that your On-Time shipping metric is at 100%. Please know that it may take about 24 hours after an order has been shipped for this score to update.

Oh no, I have an order to combine shipping going out Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed that it goes through with no SS issue. Did you contact chat support?

That method used to work just fine. Until Etsy corrects all the shipping problems, I ship each order separately even if to the same buyers.

I did the same thing with the last order I just sent and of course the star seller percentage is down because of it. I did complete the combined shipping option but it did not do any good.

Very odd - we just sent out two orders combined into a single shipment via USPS this morning (same tracking info on both orders) and both orders are showing "In Transit".

I noticed so many problems with star seller that I no longer pay any attention to it. My customers do not care if I'm a star seller.

So we ship a lot of multiple orders to the same buyer.  Sometimes they want to add on arm covers, etc.   While I have never qualified for star seller due to my actual processing time being long, now we're encountering a problem putting the same tracking number on the 2nd order.  We get a message that we can't use the same tracking # twice even though BOTH orders are shipping in the SAME box.  So now one of the two orders will be marked shipped without tracking.  Hopefully it only effects Star seller bs and not search results for my shop!  Ten years here with all 5 star reviews and no cases opened or complaints and I have also had my deposits held for 45 days OR until they are shipped WITH tracking due to some of my orders having not shipped.  They won't even consider that I can't make those orders without the buyer's fabric and/or custom measurements they need to send me that I send them a diagram and instructions to take.  ETSY says they want custom makers "one of a kind" items but then we're punished and held back.  I wish retirement wasn't 4 years and 9 months away!

@DIYslipcovers That sounds like glitch that you should address with Etsy.  I've not experienced any issue of completing an order and entering the tracking number from a combined order that started as separate orders.

Yes, you can run into payment reserve if you don't have tracking since yoru orders are over $10 (USD). Tracking is not just for star seller but is part of the service level standards.

This may be hard to hear but Etsy has changed in what they expect.  For example your listings may not be considered custom.  They would be considered made to order and therefore returnable.  

You may want to examine the new purchase protection and what Etsy is wanting to decide how you can best work with Etsy now, not as it was 10 years ago. 

You can reach star seller if you meet the processing time but beyond that it is also part of the service level standard to have prompt shipping.  It appears Etsy is more concerned these days about processing time being met.
