Two of my Best Selling, Advertised and On Sale products are not showing up in searches.

I have two products that are being advertised that are not coming up today in searches at all.  They are very popular right now and one of them is a Best Seller.  I even put them on sale to see if they would come up.  This is one of them:  https://thetimetaxi.etsy.com/listing/1479039095

I tried searching in incognito and it isn't coming up.  I am not getting any search visits either.  I am just getting visits from social media etc. 

It usually comes up under Dalmatian Ears, Dalmatian Hair Clips or Dalmatian Barrettes.

I did receive a chat message that was very interesting. I can not post here but just know "It's only for a short time" (really now) In the mean time we struggle.

I also constantly face the problem.
On February 1-2, my store was actively displayed and sales began.
Since February 3 there has been silence again.

Same problem here- 8 of my bestsellers are de-indexed. I just got off chat with Etsy support who are just gaslighting me to no end. They insisted this is part of a temporary test to optimize search results that may impact my search placement, and to rest assured all of my listings are still indexed and searchable.

I told them repeatedly these items are fully deindexed and not searchable and they just kept repeating everything is fine and I'm mistaken. I'm going to try again with a different agent and see what they say- I'm sure they'll give me a completely different but equally useless answer...

I thought I was the only 1... Exactly same issue, I've had 0 sales today, my usual sale is 6 - 10 a day and it's really been stressful. I have been on the phone to Etsy and they said someone from higher is reviewing the listing.

We are missing 5 of our best sellers. Missing from our shop from search and no ads. Contacted support they said they would email us....that was hours ago.

Same here, have been stressing for hours! All my listings except a new one I made today are de-indexed. No sales, Cant find in search, no add spend. Etsy chat told me to wait for an email!

@DropsOfEarthShop OMG your whole shop! I'm so sorry! They reindexed 3 of my 8 deindexed ones so hopefully they are working on reindexing. Fingers crossed for both of us, what a frustrating day.

Your items do so in Etsy search.

It's multiple shops mine included. I saw a reply from someone saying that had a call with Etsy support and it's a site wide issue they they're working on.

When I search "card" in your shop, only one shows up. I am having the same issue. There is another thread with several shops dealing with the same problem.

Same- 8 of my bestsellers are randomly deindexed. I'm not sure how long they've been down but I discovered it this morning. Sales crashed pretty bad the last few days so it may have started last week sometime. I've been on hold with support for 20 minutes waiting for them to look into it. Will update once they reply.

I keep telling them the items are fully deindexed and not searchable and they just keep telling me everything is fine and I'm mistaken. I'm tearing my hair out trying to get them to understand that this has nothing to do with search placement. I guess I'll try again with a different agent.

May I ask how you know they are deindexed?

@TheColourfulCamel the easiest way to check is to search for them within your own shop- if de-indexed they won't show up. I also verified it by entering keywords in Etsy search and narrowing down to specific price range and location.

I had my bestseller de-indexed so I contacted chat to ask what is going on. It's a lanyard I sew / handmake btw.

I was told in chat that they have "systems in place to limit visibility for listings that they believe may violate Etsy policies while they conduct a review". They then proceeded to give me links to the handmade policy, seller handbook and how search works.

My query has been forwarded to the Trust & Safety team and they will "let me know if this is reinstated or removed". So now I wait. There must be a system setting triggering best sellers and that they are reviewing them site wide.
