I m at the point to loose my star seller status due a technical problem from Etsy .. which til now they do not have the intention to rectify. This is totally unfair and want to see if other had the same experience.
The status of the order stays in pre transit ... so no change .. the tracking i ve provided is 100% valid and correctly put.
Nevertheless Etsy claims its not valid , which is not correct since i send hundreds of other parcels the same way and they were accepted.. So its accepted or not accepted but nothing in between.. I pay an extra fee for the trackign as well..
Why some numbers are not accepted .. is a mystery for me .. but also not my responsability. This is a matter that Etsy needs to sort out , not me.
Etsy doesn't recognise all carriers - which ones do you use?
Etsy's tracking often does not update and says In Transit long after delivery. Is this what you are referring to?
So long as you buy your postage through Etsy you don't actually need tracking (unless of course you actually do want tracking).
"Orders of a certain value will need to have tracking or a postage label purchased on Etsy. The requirement values are based on currency. "

i use french national post ... an hundreds of other parcels are shipped the same way and there was no issue..
postal labels through etsy only for Us customers right?
Not only US, but no, not available in France.
Oh, I should have checked where you are. No Etsy labels in France. I have heard others complain about this too.
@Alanscollectibles: What happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order? If it opens the tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly.
i provided all possible proof that the tracking is correct .. (picture of the box) and the customer recieved the goods and reviewed them even so..
I have the same problem, it's completely abnormal and unfair !
@Alanscollectibles - Some EU shop owners have reported an Etsy glitch. The carrier you choose is mysteriously changed. In your case it could switch from your Post Office to FedEx.
Since the tracking number is not the correct FedEx format, Etsy sees this as no tracking.
One shop owner posted this work around:
When completing the order, choose the incorrect carrier.
Enter the additional info. needed to complete the order.
Before clicking 'complete' change back to the correct carrier.
It's not a guaranteed work around, so many shop owners go back to their completed orders in a day or so to check. You have 3 days to edit the information.
If that's not the problem, and if you can track the package thru the order link, you can try and contact Etsy again. However, I'd suggest going with the tracking not updating problem. Keep the star seller program out of the conversation.
i ve noticed this but i switched to the correct carrier .. i guess the problem is a technical issue at La poste .. but this is also not my responabilty and etsy should be able to recognize this and put it right .. i did all correct and i m still punished ... totally unfair.
