Hi every one, i'm new to selling on Etsy and i recieved my first spam email in my spam, great job outlook! Now i recieved an email from noreply@mail.etsy.com that says:
Thanks for selling on Etsy! Your April statement for your shop DoomhausApparel is ready. Get the details and pay any outstanding balance from your payment account.
Button: Make a payment now
Sign in to review your itemized fees and make a payment.
Please note, if your statement balance is not paid in full by May 15, your bill will become overdue. Overdue accounts will have shop privileges restricted and risk account suspension.
For more information about the types of fees on your statement, please visit our Seller Fees help article.
If i log in no orders have been made but i don't know how that updating system works and when it shows.
Any messages to your shop through Etsy's message system are automatically copied to your registered email account, from Etsy's messaging server, so it is hard to be sure from just an email if it is genuinely from Etsy, or a scam from a random user.
Do not click on links or buttons in emails. Scammers have a habit of including links that go to similar but fake versions of Etsy pages.
Instead log in to your shop manager dashboard page, on the App or website. There will be notices informing you of any actions you need to take.
Check messages in the message area, only genuine messages from Etsy will appear in the "from Etsy" section.
Scammers often have user names that appear to be similar to "Etsy Support", often using special ASCII characters that look similar to normal letters but are not letters.
As a new shop you probably do actually have fees due.
Fees are automatically subtracted from your shop account balance, so the fees are automatically subtracted from your sales income. If you end the month with insufficient sales to pay off your fees you will have a negative account balance, that needs to be paid by the 15th of the month.
New shops post lots of new listings and the listing fees add up, so without any sales yet you probably do have to make a manual payment to Etsy.
Go to the Finances > Payment Account page on your shop manager. That will show what is due, and allow you to pay.
Don't rush, you have until the 15th, so any sales between now and then will automatically pay off your outstanding fees (without incurring any bank fees for card payments, if your bank charges).
But don't forget to pay by the 15th, as then your shop can be closed. Stick a post-it note reminder on your monitor / keyboard.

It's the first of the month and that's when the last month's bill is due and needs to be paid by the 15th. Check your 'Finances > Payment account' page to see how much you owe. You'll have to pay the fees for the five items you listed.
Just do what the email says.
But what does the email really say?
Is there a deeper meaning?
Maybe it's an adventure, or even a treasure hunt. Who knows?

As a new seller, you will likely receive messages that are not from Etsy even if they claim to be, so be careful!

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.
Don't click on the links in the email. Instead go to your dashboard and under "finances">payment account and you wil be able to see if you owe anything (You probably do owe your listing fees). If it shows a balance due --pay it no so you don't forget.
I know a lot of people do not like auto billing but I use it just so I won't forget to pay on time.
I get this email from Etsy if I have an outstanding balance, HOWEVER, it is not from the email address you posted. So rather than click a link, just go to your shop payment account and take care of what you owe there.
