Star seller status

I entered the wrong tracking number on two orders in March, I talked to customer service and was told even thought they see no technical problems they can not correct my star seller rating???

I have read in the forums that Etsy doesn't do much about correcting the star seller badge unless it is their mistake.

If you buy your labels through Etsy, it will automatically enter the tracking number for you. 

As far as the star seller badge goes, I have had it, lost it, had it and lost it again.  I don't pay any attention to a badge that is given to those who are not selling Etsy legal items (resellers, etc.).

The Star Seller - The first month, I did not get it. My sales number were 9 instead of 10, even though my sales were over $2K. Then I had it for about a year and a half, then I lost it for two days due to an Etsy error on my messages, then I had it for another 6 months, then I lost it over just one, one star review. I never noticed any difference in my sales with or without it. Business is just slow for everybody right now. When you have been selling online for 25 years as I have, economics and bank closures (3 banks in 2 months), have a real impact on sales. I see everybody losing their mind about why their shop isn't money producing. It is the economy. Several people in my circle lost some money in First Republic Bank Stock and so have thousands of other consumers. I don't know that they are on Etsy buying "extra's" after their losses. I don't and wouldn't put too much time and thought into the star seller. Yes, it is a cute purple badge, but my experience on Etsy has shown me that all of these cute purple stars are not to be believed either. I had two bad transactions by two star sellers.

I believe you have 3 days to correct a tracking number after it is entered. After that, no, they will not manually change or fix anything. It was a mistake on your end, one to learn from and be more careful in the future. Maybe start to check all orders after a day or two and if you don't see any updates, verify that you have entered the correct tracking while you still have a chance to fix it.
