@AnnaleasFinest  I am not saying i'm an exception at all, I'm just trying to understand what is allowed or what isn't allowed as i;ve been told conflicting things, just trying to understand why there's 150,000 items for sale just like mine and these stores have been around for years, they literally sell spells to wish death upon someone and they never get removed. I'm very confused, trying to make sense of these rules and policies so that I can abide by them

some of your items are against Etsy rules, with certain sellers Etsy chooses to look the other way especially if they spend and make money for them, I am actually very surprised they have not awarded you all your badges and star seller yet most distant healers and resellers have them

So if most distant healers have them then distant healing doesn't go against the policy? I am so confused... lol 

I really don't know what to do to be honest. I really value my work and want to do the right thing, there are thousands of stores selling spiritual items and they never get taken down after being around for years.. Is this a pick and choose thing by etsy?

@CraftyCornishMaids  I get that, my distant healing was the keyword in the title, the actual item i was selling was a meditation audio which was custom made but I can see why it's not allowed. I have taken down the item. As for spells.. Any idea why the thousands of long-standing spell shops haven't been taken down even after selling 50,000 spell items? 

There are over 150,000 spell items, these are mostly from accounts that have been around for years, just wondering why they haven't been removed from sale and they get star seller badges ??

There are over 2000 death spells for sale on etsy which violate multiple store policies including violence and harm, these accounts have been awarded badges and have been around for years.. I don't understand.

Thats funny because of the amount of 'weight loss spell' items people sell and never get taken down when it clearly violates the policy. Etsy never ceases to amaze me..

@CraftyCornishMaids  I find it hard to believe no one has reported these items or accounts though, esp with such high volumes of sales AND a lot of negative reviews and unhappy customers.. Oh well, I guess some things will never make sense.

they have been reported many of times but Etsy chooses to turn a blind eye, which they will most likely do with your store as well for a while and give you your badges.

I've reported countless Ali Express resellers, which were even "Etsy's picks", and it's been months and years, and nothing, NOTHING happened.

Etsy gives you a chance to justify yourself, and disclose your tools, your supplies, and your work, if they deactivated a listing.

If you can prove that you altered and embellished a physical product, you can usually list it again.

Also, Etsy creators get copied by Ali sellers, and get their photos stolen.  It happened to me.

So, sometimes it may appear that an item is being resold from Ali express, but the opposite is true.

It's very frustrating when a cheaper reseller steals your honest business, where you spend time on adding your own style, like handpainting and patina and whatnot, and they don't.

I have removed the items that 'violate' as for my other store, will move that to a personal website over the next few days.

Etsy make a killing from these stores, if they remove them they will lose a lot of money, I guess it's all about money

What you have to realise is that Etsy makes more money from the shops that violates their own policies, you just have to make sure you keep earning them money and do not let your balance build up in case the day comes that Etsy will start treating all sellers the same and close your account holding a hefty balance

remember the ODR times?

There was a German jewely seller, truly beautiful, and she worked her butt off, complained about fatigue from night shifts and pain in her shoulders, -- and before Christmas, a few international buyers reported alleged "non-deliveries", while her parcels clearly couldn't have arrived yet, -- and after this initial 3 months warning, where she could improve "her" performance, -Etsy closed her shop, permanently.

I bet she cried her eyes out, I never heard of her again. It shocked me.

She was talented and highly ambitious and wire-wrapped gemstones. Hard work.
