Thanks for the input everyone. I have made amendments to my shop and removed some items
Have you checked out the criteria on your SS dashboard, there's a minium $ amount and minimum quantity.
Plus it's a little early in the day to see the "official" rating.
The $300 minimum? I made that in one day 4 months ago.. My store makes a lot of money..
It said "Looks like you didn’t earn any badges for November:"
Even though I earned all 3 of them
I wasn't aware, you had reached that criteria you didn't say!
ETA And I hadn't looked at your shop!
Plus there's your claims....
.
"I have been healing people for many years"
Maybe someone wasn't and complained to Etsy?
Literally everyone makes a claim in their description of some sort, i'm a qualified counsellor, healer and coach so I would assume I am allowed to make a 'claim' every customer who has purchased my healing has returned to purchased more and left 5 star review so I doubt they have complained..
I create custom meditation audios for them so not sure what's not allowed..
My store makes a LOT of money, I have surpassed my store minimum and 200+ sales. Have had 5 star reviews for the last 4 months, 100% response rate etc my account is in good standing as far as i'm aware
oops *2000 + sales
If you have infringed on any of etsys policies, they take the badges away
tip jars are not allowed
I wondered that. Like selling items that are not allowed - distance healing and spells
I never got a badge in the first place and wasn't aware of tip jars not being allowed since the buyer still receives a digital custom made item when they purchase. How can i read more about tip jars not being allowed? I will remove them if thats the case
If only it was the tips jar!
@MyFeminineLife You will have to remove some of your listings, please check distance healing and casting spells, they are not allowed.
I think that's why they don't give you your star badge.
Distant healing and spells are some of the biggest money making stores on etsy, I have contacted support and it is allowed since i deliver a digital item to the customer when they purchase, I create custom made audios and photos for them
@MyFeminineLife So then you would be an exception with healing promises, because everybody else here is not allowed to make any.
I think you got a general ok if you send material along, but healing?
I can't imagine.
I'll back away from this thread, because I'll end up being put on the naughty step for a week!
which is why I only mentioned the tip jars
There are over 150,000 items that are the same or similar to mine on etsy and thousands of stores doing the same thing for many years, can you shed light on why those stores have been around for years if what they sell goes against etsy policies, i'm trying to make sense of it.
no naughty step for me either, filter fully engaged.. not saying a word!
Any idea on why stores that blatantly violate policies such as violence and abuse get star seller badges? Some of these stores have been around for years selling 'death spells' it doesn't make sense to me.
Anyways, I have removed the items. I will contact support *again* about the other store items..
Can someone link me to the items that are not allowed if I am providing a custom made digital download like the thousands of other stores on etsy? Thanks!
Yes, @MyFeminineLife , hold on.
If you have all the star criteria, and meet the min, for $ and sales
the only reason for not having the stars, is because you broke etsys policies
Arguing with us, whether you think you have or not, will not make it any different
Messages, dispatch, ratings, orders, and sales are calculated to determine Star Seller. In order to be evaluated, you need to have been on Etsy’s platform for 90 days since your first sale and comply with applicable policies, including our Seller Policy and our Terms of Use.
I am in no way trying to argue i'm asking for guidance and help as i'm confused as to why I was told my items were ok when I contacted support, since the items I create are digital downloadibles such as audio
@CraftyCornishMaids I am definitely not trying to argue, just trying to understand so that I can abide by the policies, just feel confused about why it's ok for thousands of other stores that never get removed and have been around for years.. I want to do the right thing.
