Hello - I hope someone from Etsy can resolve this. I should qualify as a Star Seller, but due to a weird quirk, my shipping fell below 95% due to a unique order. I created a custom order from a convo, but there wasn't anything to be a shipped as I emailed a photo file directly to a lab for printing. I marked the item shipped during the estimated period, but since there was no tracking it dinged my account. Any way to fix this? Thanks!
Did you create a physical listing? If yes, there's nothing you can do to fix this.
Etsy added a new feature earlier this year. You can now create made-to-order digital listings: https://community.etsy.com/t5/Announcements/We-ve-improved-our-made-to-order-digital-listing-experie...
"For folks eager to achieve or maintain Star Seller status, converting your listings from physical listings to made-to-order digital items has an added benefit: It eliminates the need for tracking and can help you earn your Star Seller badge."

This is the answer. I did a custom listing directly from the convo.
I don't release my files to the buyer (only the lab) to protect my copyright, but next time I know to do a dummy made-to-order digital listing to fulfill the requirement.
Thanks for the insight!
If you send any digital by email, this will ding you for the star seller. The best way to handle custom is to use the made to order digital listing.
If you do variations on digital then you will need to take the ding. The made to order does not support variations.
Thanks for the reply. I don't usually sell my files in order to protect copyright, but I was able to send it directly to a lab in this case. I think if the opportunity arises again, I'll do a dummy made-to-order digital listing to fulfill the Etsy requirements.
