Well I appreciate the response that took TWO WEEKS (kind of defeats the purpose as we are more than halfway through the month anyways) from Etsy support to get, but if I have to explain this one more time, I literally might explode. Please read the following VERY carefully:
@DarlingMagnolias You ask "Please take a look specifically at OCTOBER 31st at the 7 orders"
For SSP Badge calculations, Etsy uses UTC timestamp and assigns Orders to the MONTH they are DUE to Ship, not to the MONTH in which they were Shipped. This is so that Orders which were received on the last days of a Month, but not due to Ship until the next Month are not erroneously marked as "Late".
The same happens for Messages. A Message must be given the full 24 hours Reply Window before it is considered as "Late". Therefore, even though a Message may be received and eplied to on 30/31 day of the Month, it will not be assigned to that current Month, but to the next Month (whenever the 24 hours expires)
Etsy is not here in the forums. Only your fellow sellers. We can't help you.
You will have to contact Etsy to discuss this. They will review and perhaps change. Perhaps not.
I am a one woman shop and just received this exact error. I had to buy the label at the post office because the buyer put directions on the address that would not LET ME buy onEtsy. I did enter the tracking information but it says error no tracking information.
I have been on Etsy for over a decade and never have received anything but a canned reply from them. Increased costs from them, offsite percentage of 15%, and free shipping should include at the very least better service to the sellers.
Sorry for the vent,
Monica Patinalatinas
Ughh I'm sorry you have been dealing with frustrations as well. It's extremely disheartening the lack of actual support we get as sellers.
Sadly, this is what happens at the end of the month. Since it takes a day or two to update, what happens on the last days rolls into the next month for Star Seller stats.
What happens on the last day of the month is usually not reflected in the calculation of the badges awarded the following day. Additionally Etsy does not adjust the badge decision for the current month after it is made. Once the data catches up it will show in your ratings for next month's badge. However, it shouldn't take two weeks to catch up, two days maybe. You will need to go back to your original help request and reply to that saying it is still not fixed. It is unlikely SS staff will read this post, although it has been known to happen. Be persistent, but keep using the same help request, if you open a new one each time you go back to the end of the line, as the distribution system treats it as a new issue. Good luck.
Just a thought, are you sure the issue is missing tracking and not late shipping or missing ship by dates? All of these affect the shipping metric.
I have chatted and called and emailed in the same original help request, but no one seems to understand the issue. I wasn't being dinged for orders shipping late, just "missing tracking info". This has been so frustrating and doesn't even matter at this point because we are so far into the month
@DarlingMagnolias: If the shipper is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. That being said, there have been issues with tracking updates that one of the Etsy people who reads these posts has been able to resolve in some cases. Hopefully they will see this thread and look at your history.
I also have a dispute about tracking numbers. The ETSY Star Seller 'help' post directed me (and probably, you) to this site for solving technical issuies. So WHY is there no one from ETSY reading this site to provide help??? Frustrating!
@FriendsofSanta : Yes we know that Etsy sends people here, but this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).
But what is your "dispute"?
My dispute is ETSY claims that I did not have tracking on my most recent order (mailed yesterday). The number is: USPS 9400 1092 0556 8922 6613 79
So they refer me to this site, where there is no 'support' UGH!
@FriendsofSanta: If the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order (Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking and tracking number validation) usually a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status.
Thanks for YOUR support!
Just had the same thing happen for the first time. Order received the evening of the 15th, shipped via Priority Mail the 16th and shipping confirmation with tracking number sent on the 16th. My stats now say that order was shipped late with no tracking info. The frustrating part is it shows on my dashboard as shipped on time with tracking number displayed. Chat was unable to help.
@VintageRoadside: Often recent shipments are not correctly / timely updated. Usually a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status.
@BagmakerSupply- thanks! What's odd is this the first time in a couple hundred orders this year that it hasn't updated. It's already been scanned 3 times in the USPS system in the 25 hours since the shipping confirmation email went out.
