Star Seller -Message Response Rate

Hi, my message response rate has been pulled down to 90% as I was messaged by a seller that I had bought from on Etsy thanking me for my order an to let me know when it was going to be depatched. Obviously there was no need to reply, but I dint think it would count towards my star rating! How can I get this reviewed please?

The star seller information states that every new message must be answered or put into spam. The bots can't tell the difference between seller and buyer.

This is copy and pasted from etsy.  It has always been like this so they will not review it.

What messages count towards the message response rate?

Your message response rate is based on just the first message in a conversation, not ongoing conversations. This means you just need to respond to the first message within 24 hours. This applies to messages both from buyer and seller accounts. Messages from Etsy staff do not count toward your response rate, and neither do messages that you mark as spam. You can also now find a breakdown of your message response rate score by downloading a CSV.

you can mark the message as spam and it should update and no longer count against you.

In the future either immediately answer the message with a thank you or mark it as spam.
