My shipping stat shows only 5% on time shipping despite the fact that everything I ship is shipped the next day or even the same day. I sell some items that do not require tracking since they are under $10. However, I always complete the order. I don’t understand how it shows only 5%.
For star seller, and those individual metrics like on-time shipping and speedy replies and such, Etsy requires a tracking number or an Etsy label, even for items under $10.
I hand delivered two local orders and my on-time shipping took a hit because I didn’t provide tracking
@PyrateVinylDesign: There are two separate and distinct metrics involved here - 1) To comply with Etsy rules, physical orders of $10 or more require tracking; 2) For Star Seller, ALL physical orders require tracking or an Etsy label. "Completing an order without adding tracking will not count as a tracked order towards Star Seller eligibility." per https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015774228-How-to-Add-Tracking-and-Complete-an-Order?segme...
What do you do about their picking up an item? How to stop it changing your star status? Thank you.
There is no work around for local pick ups.
You can't prove to Etsy the transaction was completed without tracking.
@BirdieGirlAntiques: Pickups and deliveries are considered as orders completed without tracking, and therefore will negatively affect your Star Seller stats. If you have not yet done so, you might want to read https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000338067-How-to-Offer-Local-Pickup-or-Delivery?segment=s...
So here’s what I don’t understand. It’s Etsy’s rule that items under $10 don’t require tracking. If I didn’t offer free shipping on this item, shipping with tracking would cost almost as much as the item itself. But since it’s Etsy’s rule I don’t think it’s fair to be penalized for not having a tracking number. My other shop shows a very different score since those items do require tracking.
