I'm Maria owner of Doreali Studio Roma from Italy
Today i received this strange message with a screenshot attached:
"Hello, I wanted to make a payment in your store, but I am asked to enter the seller's mail, this is a new policy on etsy, it's been a while since I researched this topic, could you please give me your mail and I will pay for your item right away, thank you very much!"
Later I received an email from the "etsy customer-service team" (with the Etsy logos) asking me to click a link to confirm payment for the order. Of course I didn't click the link.
What do you think?

Llevo dos semanas recibiendo mensajes de compra de posibles compradores, solicitando mi cuenta de mail para poder realizar un pedido, cada día unas dos veces. Claramente es un fraude ,bots, he cambiado mi mail, la contraseña y continuan. Es realmente desagradable y crea desconfianza. Por favor , que puedo hacer para que esto no se repita?
@pycvintage: "... what can I do so that this does not happen again?" Unfortunately nothing except to be vigilant. The scammers are just faster at creating new accounts than Etsy can be at shutting them down.

The incredible thing about these types of scams is that Etsy is doing absolutely nothing to inform sellers about them. A message on the Shop Manager Dashboard would put sellers on alert.

Hola, yo acabo de abrir mi tienda en etsy y he recibido a los pocos minutos 3 mensajes asi, sabes que se puede hacer ? son una estafa seguro

I just received also an e mail of a fraud order. I did not realized immediately the fraud so I lost 200 euros . But I immediately blocked my credit card so I am not sure if the money is lost. I will know it on the coming days.
