New Listing Form Changes The Order of Images

I have been trying out the new listing form and it is changing the order of the images after upload.  I then need to go in and drag them to the correct order.  Very annoying and will definitely NOT save me time.

I'm having the same problem and tech support was completely unhelpful—I was told to rearrange the images manually and that they "had to" take away the old form.  Never once had this issue with it.

I know, it is maddening- I have to manually rearrange photos- 

I hate the new listing form- it is clunky and I have no clue why they changed it!

Not only is it worse in every way but they make it impossible to report this issue to anyone who can actually fix it.

@MerchantofOdd   I love the new listing format.  I have been using it for months.  I absolutely detest the old format.  I even told Etsy to quit throwing my listings back on the old form.

Sure I hated it in the beginning but I took the time to tell Etsy what was wrong and took the time to use it and get used to it.  I knew Etsy would get rid of the old at some point.

Etsy did post  a survey link for the new listing form but you have to agree to let Etsy use your responses however they want or you get a pop up telling you that you do not qualify to take the survey! Real fair huh?

@CrazyAuntDesigns   I have been using the new format for months and my experience is that the photos are placed in the order you drag them.  I drag the photos from my photos file on PC.  If doing from another device maybe that does happen.

If you drag all 10 at once it puts them in a random order.  This was not the case before.  I take my photos in the order that I want my photos to be displayed and now I have to do however many steps to make sure it's correct.  It's simply worse for me.

Videos can't even be cropped anymore...

I manage all of my photos and listings from a desktop computer, as I have always done.  I drag or select them in order and they still upload all wrong.  I never once had this problem with the old form.

The images issue is probably due to uploading being multi-threaded instead of in a single thread, so they may start in the selected order but not necessarily finish in that order - the first image finished gets the first slot, etc.

Same here, often the gallery image once I submit the listing is not the one I selected. I filled in the survey about the new form yesterday and for what it's worth, I reported this as a bug on there.

Yup, been like this since day 1 they put it out.

Very inefficient. Time consuming, wasting time in the business world of selling is a path to failure.

I absolutely hate the new form. I write my descriptions from the photos, adding sizes and weight, and now have to open the photo window to see the info. And the photos are coming in out of order! Every listings has to have the photos moved around. And the ring sizes are now hidden in the attributes. I have to open the photos, see what size the ring is, go to attributes, find the ring size section and add it.  I've started just leaving things off all the pull down boxes. If it's in the description, that's all that matters.

That was my experience with it as well, whenever they rolled it out—I never went back to it and it's amazing that they still haven't fixed the problem after all this time.  This is a matter of basic, simple functionality and should have been the first thing people working on this redesign got right.

The new listing form also does not allow different domestic & international pricing. All prices default to the domestic price. I have repeatedly pointed this out but as of today it still isn’t working correctly.

It is really upsetting that this basic functionality has not been fixed before they force us into the new form. It takes so much time to have to go in & rearrange my photos (which were originally in the correct order) because they uploaded randomly. Along with everything else on the new form--it may work on a phone but it needs to be able to work on a desktop without losing functionality & user productivity.

I have to upload the image of the item and can't adjust the thumbnail until after publishing which is annoying

Maybe a refresher course is needed for the coders here. How to Code a Website: A Step-by-Step Guide..........Thats how I learned back in the day. LOL.

Day 2 of the official transition to the new and improved listing format and simple stuff like this still doesn't work. Classic! I created my first new listing with the new form and ran into this issue. It's also really clunky and cumbersome to move the images around. And I can't see my title when I'm entering keywords! So dumb.

Along with so many other issues, these problems didn't exist with the old listing form.

I got a credit last night from Etsy as the international sales are processing as domestic because the new form still doesn’t work and it’s a known issue.

Yes there appears to be numerous issues.  On a positive note, I was able to change my section when editing today which wasn't working yesterday.  The key to rolling out anything new is to test, test, test prior to take care of any bugs.

Is anyone else having this specific issue?  I’ve been trying to re-order my photos, and when I do what I used to do (yep, once again, with the comparatively hassle-free old form) by trying to drag and drop the new one into whichever spot it needs to go, the photo now just enlarges to full screen and only gives me an option to save the file to device (??!?!?!?) I then have to close out the window and try again.  It’s maddening.  Glitch city.  It’s looking like I’m going to have to just clear all the photos and start from scratch on the darn listing and this is monumentally frustrating, not to mention a massive time suck.  Am I alone on this one?  I know my relationship with technology is a little sketchy, but this seems a tad bizarre even for me.  Any input would be appreciated!!
