This issue is NOT resolved for me as of 1:55pm, Mountain Daylight time on July 5, 2022. When attempting to edit anything in the body of a Message, the cursor still keeps jumping to the end.
I take it back. It's not amusing. If I quickly delete and hit another letter, like I do when correcting typos, the cursor jumps to and stays at the end.
This is is SO frustrating!! ETSY PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!
September 25,2022 Here I am Again with this disturbingissue! The cursor jumps to bottom of page as typing Etsy msg to customer. Pretty Strange, as I have sent Etsy msg's & No Mysterious Cursor issues to customers this Month; Then Today the Cursor Jumps to bottm of page as I correct the msg to customer & continue typing msg cursor goes to bottom of page, as I have to Correct cursor back to sentence needing to be at. Humm it can be alright for a few weeks Then All the Sudden Cursor issues Again!!!
I started to have the cursor issue 1-2 days ago when going into editing listings in draft; cursor jumps almost to bottom, shipping options. (Chrome, desktop). NOT resolved!
Thread seems to have gone quiet, am I the only one still getting this, or have other people just given up and accepted the bug??
I just tested with Chrome, Brave, Firefox and Opera, after clearing all browser data. Hitting delete still makes the cursor jump to the end of the message, it then returns unless I rapidly type something, in which case the cursor stays at the end of the message. Extremely annoying. It also means I cannot just hold delete down for continuous deleting. Backspace seems to work fine.
The problem of the cursor jumping to the bottom of the conversation page when I delete one or more characters started for me on June 30, 2022. I have tried every recommendation offered by Etsy, but none resolves the problem.
I have installed the latest update of Google Chrome.
I have tried a different browser.
I cleared my Cashe files and I deleted my cookies. I disabled the non-default add-ons in my browser.
I logged out of and back into my Etsy account.
I tried deleting saved replies and creating new ones, but the problem remains.
I have this problem only when backspacing, but it’s still very annoying. I use Safari on a new MacBook, plan to try next time using Firefox to see if that makes any difference.
