I read all the policies and the do's and don's and cant figure out why it is deactivated. How do I get a person to talk to about this?
you are selling your items to the EU/UK without the required licence number to show they have been independently tested, and met the standards for anything applied to the skin
I also don't see any of the safety information on your listings, or which economic operator you paid to hold all your saftey information in all EU languages
you also have no returns policy, you need to gave a 30 day return policy for EU/UK on the listing,
and with the items that you would like to protect for hygiene reasons, you put the items in a see-through bag, sealed with a seal which says you won't accept a return back if the seal is broken.
I would remove the EU, and UK from countries you ship to, until you have all your legal ducks in a row.
this is how you add the economic operator you paid for, and how to enter the saftey information
this is where you put all the independent testing info to apply for a licence to sell - cosmetics are defined as anything applied to the skin
https://single-market-economy.ec.europa.eu/sectors/cosmetics/cosmetic-product-notification-portal_en
for fragrances alone, apart from putting in what they contain, there are 26 allergens that have to be specifically tested for and labelled
....
you also don't have the legally required privacy policy, or your address and e-mail address in sellers details, or the trader box ticked.
Basically, I am surprised only 1 listing has been taken down, not the whole shop
What was the listing? What reason did Etsy give for the deactivation?
It says..prohibited item...???? there are lots of them on Etsy..so confusing
Sorry I should have put all this...The listing is for roll-on perfume. I got an email giving the resin of violating policies , but when I read the policy aI dont know how the listing violated it...
Could be a tag you were using.
"there are lots of them on Etsy..so confusing"
yep
Etsy policing is inconsistent - that doesn't change the policies though. Some get caught, some don't.
You use "amber," "seductive," "naughty" and "intoxicating" in a few of your fragrance descriptions. Those words might have triggered a bot.
Which policy did your listing violate? The email should say which policy.
"How do I get a person to talk to about this?"
For that you pretty much need to be selling on a different site.
But you can try .....
What title and tags are you using?
Also, what are the fragrance options? Perhaps there's a word in there that Etsy doesn't like (like Amber).
Do you mention the FDA?

Thank you, everyone! the email noted 'prohibited item', and when I reread it, and checked my listing I was using brand names in my descriptions.."Inspired by Sol de Janiero......" Once I took all that out, it was fine. I appreciate the info for UK/EU and will fix that as well. You are all great!
NEVER go by what others sell. Just a little advice going forward.
