Listing Images not uploading by dragging

I have tested this on different browsers, listings and even different Etsy account. 

I can usually drag and drop a file image into "Add a Photo" square per each listing. Which makes it easy and fast to add a listing.

When trying to do this today to update a Digital Download listing, it will not work. I drag the image into the box and nothing happens. 

It works on all the other listings except the Digital Download one I already have published. Problem persists if I make a duplicate copy of the listing as well. 

When I make a brand New Listing. The drag and upload works perfectly fine.

Cleared cookies, history, cache. Switched browsers and same problem. Etsy support was no help. Insisted it was my browser or my computer as the issue.

Anyone else experienced this? Any fixes? It's a little inconvenient and will take me more time to add listings if I don't have this feature working.

I have noticed this as well and found your post. I really liked Etsy because it allowed you to drag and drop photos. Is this a website change?

This is a total disaster. When you are listing multiple items, it's time consuming to have to search out images by name (as opposed to drag and drop) and it CREATES A LOT OF ROOM FOR ERROR, because you are listing images by name not a visual reference.

If you mean the "new and improved" listing page I have the same problem. I cannot load pics. Still works with the "Old and Not Improved" listing page though

Yes, they have removed the ability to drag and drop images into a new listing. This is a disaster for me, because I sell many item that are very similar and I need to use image based identification so I don't list the wrong images. It also takes a lot longer to "find" images and video by name. This is like going back 10 years in technology. Even eBay still has drag and drop. I have no idea why they would do this, unless someone got bored and decided to change something. Total disaster.

I'm having the same problem! I drag and drop into the new listing box and I get that little red circle worth the diagonal line thru it.  What are we gonna do?

I wonder who came up with this idea? It's obviously someone who does not sell items. Thankfully, eBay still has drag and drop, so maybe it's time to start listing more on that platform.

Same for me.  It was so easy before, but now it's a real hassle.  Anyone learn any info about this?  Is it a glitch?

@StickWithMeOnEtsy It sounds like you have the new listing setup with tabs at the top - Performance, About, Price and Inventory etc. If so you should be able to revert to the old format. Here is the article.

I don't have the new layout yet but I think it's really important to send feedback like this to Etsy during the trial period. If there is not a feedback button on the new setup, you can use the survey link in this article.

Yes, everyone who posts here needs to supply feedback to Etsy noting this issue or it will become permanent. I'm currently listing items to another auction site since this happened because I don't have time to use Etsy's archaic system.
