Etsy - I would appreciate some help with this. I received a message from a buyer but before I could respond, Etsy suspended my account due to "suspicious activity." My shop Social Binder was suspended for FOUR days in total and now I've been penalized for not responding to that buyer's message. I've contacted support about this and they couldn't help.
I'm on the verge of losing my start seller badge for the month of September because now I supposedly haven't met the message response rate target of 95%...which is absolutely out of my control. I have worked hard to earn the badge since I was first eligible and have kept it since. Now because of Etsy, I'm going to lose it? How does this make any sense.
Please resolve this.

You are only talking to your fellow sellers when you post here. I would try to find out why you were suspended for suspicious activity, which I’m sure is not because you missed a message. I don’t even know how long you have to respond- is it 24 hours? Lots of us work hard and never get that badge. I really don’t understand the big appeal of the SS, but contact Etsy if you do. Etsy didn't really have a reason to suspend my shop. They just said it was suspicious activity and that it was their system that did it. Thankfully they reactivated my shop days later.

Don't worry about it. Try marking it as spam as mentioned above.
The badge isn't that important. Most buyers don't care about it one whit. It comes and it goes depending on things out of our control.
