Hello, My product's preparation time is 8 days and my standard cargo delivery time is 10 days. There has been a problem for the last 2 weeks. I received a new order. And it says delivery time is 1 day, this is crazy... Preparation time is correct, but delivery time is always 1 day.
Even express shipping does not arrive in 1 day. I contacted the help center and they said there was a technical problem. No solution found for 1 week, I keep waiting.
And as new orders come in, I have to explain it to the customer. I am changing the shipping time. And if the customer does not accept, I cancel the order.
Has anyone encountered this situation and found a solution? It's a really difficult situation. Thanks everyone
I'm not seeing that on your listings. The delivery to me in the US says the shortest delivery time is a month - Dec 23rd.
The date shown before ordering is correct. But after ordering, it directly makes the delivery date 1 day. All my open orders are currently 1 day delivery date
This has been happening to me too, I'm constantly having customers contact me saying Etsy are telling them their item is arriving the next day. Like you say, it's fine before ordering - but after ordering Etsy are amending the delivery date.
This is crazy. I keep sending emails to the help center. But nothing changes. And this is my busiest period!
I have the same issue… I’m in the U.K. and my US customers are being given a 2 day arrival estimate, despite my shipping profile selected is 11 days.
2 days is even shorter than the shipping profile I’ve chosen for U.K. orders.
I also have U.K. customers getting weird estimates. Different customers buying the same product on the same day can receive estimates that are almost a week apart- from far too soon, to much later than it will likely arrive… and neither extreme is in line with the processing times chosen in my shipping profiles.
Customer service tells me it’s a known issue, but that doesn’t help customers who have been experiencing this issue for weeks now. It’s really poor form, and creating huge workloads at the peak shopping season having to deal with queries about Etsy glitches.
Yes, the technical team still hasn't found a solution. Unfortunately, I had to extend my preparation time. It's a temporary solution, but it makes my job much harder.
Exactly the same for me! I have attempted to raise this multiple times with Etsy, but no solution! I randomly had 1 US order earlier this week with a correct delivery estimate, but then my last 5 or so have shown the buyer expects delivery 1-2 days after the dispatch date
Ive had to also contact the buyers several times this year to tell them that the item they ordered on Saturday or Sunday will not be there Tuesday.
Its been going on for a while.
Best of luck.
I think they are not working on finding a solution. I will continue to report the bug to the technical team. I hope it gets fixed.
Are you talking about the "Processing Time" ?
go to the dashboard -> settings -> shipping settings
you'll land on the shipping profile page. Under your shipping profiles you'll see a pencil icon on the right side click it to edit, processing time is the 3rd setting down, you can change it there.
Yes, this has been happening to us as well and has been for a while. We sell event/party items that are custom made and not usable if they arrive late/after the party date passes. We have contacted Etsy multiple times over this and still no solution. Some of the problem is on the end of the post office, tho. I’ve never seen the delays like I have this year. I was told the Nashville and Knoxville, TN hubs are an absolute mess, no one want wants to work, staffing issues. Now holiday volumes on top of that. We have moved from USPS to UPS instead hoping it will help.
I extended my preparation time and shortened my shipping time. I can't think of another solution for now. But this is very boring, still no response from support
Hi, this has been happening to us lately with orders to the US and Canada Etsy has changed the shipping time for orders.
We have canceled these orders and stopped shipping to these two countries.
It's not possible for us to deliver in the shipping time that Etsy indicates after the order is placed.
Hi all,
Just incase it’s useful to anyone, I’ve copied below the response I’ve just received from Etsy… which is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
My processing times are all correct and set to 3 weeks, and I’m not quite sure why Etsy would ‘adjust’ a carrier time from a quoted 4-8 WORKING days to only 1-2 days. I currently have Evri International 4-8 working days selected (I don’t use Evri, I just selected the longest quoted delivery window), and I would bet a lot of money that Evri don’t have any ‘historical data’ of delivering next day UK to US
Anyhoo, it’s currently festive season madness here so I don’t have the time or mental energy to question this.
I’ll just keep keeping on, and wishing you all a wonderful Christmas run up!

Hi Hayley,
I hope this email finds you well. I'm Jaye from Etsy Seller Support. We appreciate your time and patience while getting in contact with us and I will gladly assist you.
We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with our marketplace system. We value our members greatly and consistently strive for the success of every seller on Etsy. Despite our efforts, challenges may arise, and we are grateful for your bringing this concern to our attention.
Upon checking your concern regarding discrepancies with the estimated delivery dates shown to your customers. I would like to express by saying that this is occurring because the estimated delivery date range calculation is automatic for calculated shipping profiles, based on the shipping method selected as well as the buyer's location, the time of day, the day of the week, and other data we receive from the carrier.
Etsy calculates these dates by combining your processing times with carrier transit times. It's important to ensure that your processing times and shipping profiles are accurately set to reflect the expected delivery windows.
If you've already updated your shipping profiles and are still seeing issues, it might be helpful to double-check that the processing times for each listing are correctly set. Additionally, Etsy may adjust transit times based on historical data and carrier information, which could affect the displayed delivery dates.
For more detailed instructions, you can also visit this Help article: How to Set Up Estimated Delivery Dates.
Read more on processing times and ship by dates here.
I hope that’s helpful! Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Hi Hayley, this is clearly a copy- and-paste answer as Etsy usually sends, a normal answer doesn't really happen anymore. I'm almost certain it wasn't even looked at.
@BeachberriesShop That figures! I definitely got a response from a ‘real’ human when I first noticed the issue about a month ago, but that was before I realised it was such a widespread ongoing problem.

Hi,
I have been having this issue as well. I thought it was me going crazy. I am in the UK and we now have the international service 'Tracked' as well as the original 'Tracked and Signed' . Now the new just 'Tracked' seems to be working okay with estimates for US delivery - but the 'standard' and 'T&S' just one day delivery. It is just crazy! My dispatch by date is later than the 'est' date once label is printed. It is just making selling on Etsy stressful as customers can/could complain that their item did not arrive in time and Etsy refund them. It is unfortunate that this hiccup has come at the busiest time- which to save on the stress I will be closing my shop in the next few days until the New Year.
I have written and emailed the help center all the time. But they do not respond. And there are many people who have the problem.
try to go to Shipping settings, Upgrades, and put Disabled
Even though I changed the shipping settings, it still shows 1 day later. The customer sees the correct dates on the purchase screen, but after purchasing it says delivery in 1-2 days. This is crazy and I send a message to the customer for every order and inform them. I constantly update the shipping date. And if I can't agree with the customer, I refund the money. It's very damaging to the store.
Can confirm I have had the same issue for weeks. This definitely isn't just something I am seeing as a seller, because customers are mentioning it, and I always ship either early or before my processing buffer time is up.
Your items are stickers and you are shipping them as letters? First they cannot be tracked on USPS site. They have to be tracked on Pitney Bowes. Sometimes the tracking does not happen. These are also letters and not packages and have a different delivery time frame.
