Why when I make a listing and choose to allow Etsy to calculate shipping costs, based on my package details, it will not give me the option of Ground Advantage? It only gives me the option of Priority, Express, and First Class letter. Our packages are never less than 1/4 thick. I do have the option of Ground Advantage if I decide to enter in my own custom pricing, but this doesn't account for items that are traveling across the country, so I end up loosing money. I also cannot charge handling fees to recoup my costs of shipping materials when manually entering shipping, like I can when allowing Etsy to calculate it for us. I would like to know how to select Ground Advantage and allow Calculating.
Thank you, Geoff

Yes, Etsy has not updated our CS shipping profiles for us to select "Ground Advantage," although customers see it on their end. In order for it to default to GA on our end, you must enable "First Class Mail" AND "Parcel Select Ground" (found under More Options or something like that in the Shipping Services List. The customer does not see those 2 options on their end, just GA. If you don't enable PSG, it will default to Priority for packages over 1#.

Re: Ground Advantage When using Automatic Calculation
Tick the box next to First Class. Ground Advantage is the name of what used to be First Class. For some reason etsy can't or won't update the wording on the site.

Re: Ground Advantage When using Automatic Calculation
Etsy hasn't updated the labeling, but if you use First Class and Parcel Post in your setup, it will calculate as Ground Advantage.

Unfortunately that ^^^ is not correct. With calculated shipping profiles, buyers actually see all "named" services offered at checkout with true GA rates reflected in the prices.
Example of Calculated Shipping Checkout --++
- First Class Mail = $8.35 (true GA rate)
- Parcel Select Ground = $8.35 (true GA rate)
- Priority Mail = $13.17

Re: Ground Advantage When using Automatic Calculation
@BelindaGeraldine To use calculated shipping, you need to use the calculated shipping profile. Etsy calculate it for me is only the beginning.
In the shipping profile select First class package and parcel select. That will give buyers ground advantage.
