I'm trying to set up Free Shipping when a shopper orders a specific amount or more. I don't see the option to input the $ amount. Seems like a bug. Is anyone else experiencing this today?

Coupon code or a sale? App or browser?
Sale using browser.
Yes! The option to offer free shipping for the number of items or amount spent is no longer available, it was very useful.
There is a stupid test in progress. I'm not in the test, but last night several people said it was at the top of the page now instead of under the percent off.
.
Just noticed that, but it doesn't include free shipping with an order minimum. It's only for sales.
Did you try going to the percent of and changing it to free shipping first and then going back up to to the minimums and setting the minimum?
I can offer free shipping but cannot set a minimum amount which is the problem and issue. I don't want to use a code to do it. This change/test is very recent. Darn!
@UptownYvette -- I noticed that yesterday too, Etsy certainly has changed things recently. I know earlier this year, I had set up a sale offering free shipping w/ $50 minimum purchase, but now that option is no longer available ... now the only option is the Guaranteed Free Shipping w/ $35 Purchase. Looks like you can set FS w/ Minimum Purchase up via Promo code, but it doesn't work the same way Sales do. So frustrating!
I'm hoping this is temporary because more options are better than less.
i looked for that yesterday.
as @TBQSC said.
the only way to do it now...
is with a promo code.
it is very frustrating.
okay i just found this:
Etsy has three flexible options that can be used to offer free shipping to local and international buyers: free shipping guarantees, our smart pricing tool, and shipping profiles.
it sounds like a permanent change that etsy forgot to tell us they were going to do.
I hope it's not permanent. Since Etsy didn't tell us about it, I'm hoping that it's a test that won't stick. I want more options and not less.
Still think it's a test as mine hasn't changed.
Someone with the minimums at the top of the page needs to check on the sale page if you can still switch from percent to free shipping.
@NoFrogsAllowed Yes you can select percent or free shipping (sale page) BUT you cannot select a minimum purchase amount! This is the problem we are talking about. Free Shipping w/ minimum amount can now ONLY be done via Promo Code. When using the "Encourage Bigger Sales" option, you can select percent w/ minimum order amount but you cannot select Free Shipping w/ Minimum.
^^^ this is the issue ^^^
That is no what I am seeing. One can select free shipping and then do a minimum number or minimun amount.
That is what I have.
If I wanted to off her free shipping (which I would never) I still can, just like we always could.
it must be a test then.
or a bug.
because i have used the free shipping on orders of $150 or more etc a bazillion times.
but now i cannot.
I see marking free shipping and then buttoning the amount. A drop down opens to add the amount. I also see the button for number of items and that has a drop down too.
That sounds like the usual way we are accustomed to doing it. Maybe you aren't a part of the test because it seems to be a test unless Etsy is playing with different layouts.
@ArtDollsbyJD are you seeing this in the SALES or in PROMOS? I had to set a promo because sales does not offer the FS option w/ minimum purchase amount. I don't want to use the $35 FSG, I want to use a different amount.
I hear that it's a test and maybe she isn't a part of the test.
Has anyone tried to set up a Sale using the "Encourage Bigger Orders"?
It is not possible to Name the Sale / Discount Coupon. This is very inconvenient as I have 3 or 4 diferent coupons and name them so I know which one I am turning on or off
This is the message I just received after setting up a 25% discount for Minimum of 2 Items as a Test
"Discount name: C1F34B32AA4282AF81FE
Buyers won’t see this, it’s just for your reference. Track and manage your discount under offer details and stats on the Sales & Discounts page."
OK, so I am only on my first coffee this morning and am trying to see the positive in this recent change to Sales Discounts set up.
But, try as I might, I can see no benefit at all. Even the name irritates me!
If I wanted to "Encourage Bigger Sales" I think I would need the ability to set up a Save Event which said
"Please purchase my Elephant because I am selling too many Mice at preseent and need to sell "Bigger" things".
Apart from the inappropriate Sale Event Name (surely they mean "Encourage Larger Orders"), there are 3 main faults in this most recent, and totally unnecessary, change to the Sales and Discounts setup.
1) No way to offer Free Shipping with Minimum Order Value or Minimum Order Number.
2) Etsy "names" the Coupon with a generic name which in no way identifies what the Coupon actually Offers. If a Shop has 3 or 4 active Coupons, there is no way to easily identify which one relates ro which conditions. I will have to go back to pen and paper to record what each Coupon actually applies to?
3) The notification Etsy is now placing on the Listing, under the Title does not accurately reflect the Discounts available if a Shop multiple Discounts for the same items ie: 10 % off Orders of 2 Items / 15 % off Orders of 4 Items / 20% off 6 Items
My feelings exactly! This is why I initially thought it was a bug because it makes no sense. Etsy seems really good at making things worse on this site. We have less options now as do shoppers. I really hope this test is not going to end up being something permanent.
