New responses to posted threads are not showing up on my discussion board chronologically. It's very hard to follow threads of interest when the current responses are not prioritized. Anyone else seeing this?
@leinweberstudio "it's impossible to think anything other than this is intentional to discourage use."
That's what I am beginning to think as well, BUT WHY?
It's not as if it's a political, controversial or insensitive issue. It is purely technical. All we are asking is to just fix the posting positions to prioritize the "most recent" responses in the queue.
Please @thatregina or community@etsy.com, respond...............your silence is just adding to my (our) frustration.
BUT WHY?
There have been some highly critical threads that stayed on top for a long time because of their relevant content (site failures, new unpopular policy implementations, negative press coverage), and it is usually stuff that is affecting sellers in a bad way.
Keeping threads out of order hides those threads because no one can see them/find them again without some serious digging, therefore covering up a lot of info that isn't supposed to be seen so very publicly.
Of course it also hides other threads but, as usual, this is collateral damage acceptable for the goal of gaining greater control.
That's my theory. If it's just a tech problem I have to assume that everyone at Lithium is off on a long winter holiday and they'll get to it in the new year.
ETA, one big drawback for all the newbies will be that long-time forum contributors will be much less willing to contribute help for all these newbie questions as they're just plain fed up with this situation.
It would appear this has just died on the vine.....................
