Why does Etsy shut off shops, I had funds in there and they never sent a verification, I find that traffic is very weak like the traffic not directing to our shops, I feel Etsy has a little hand in who gets all the sales, not to mention the fees, I wonder what's the point in using Etsy, Thinking its time to move away to another platform, I find it very funny that I have sold like 2k worth of product but only made F all profit after fees and the inconsistent traffic. I also have issues with copywriting, how is it shops blatantly use infringed material yet they are allowed to operate? Etsy?? Is this because they make you money? I feel this is not an even playing field and accuse you of traffic manipulation. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I know a little about algorithms and I know they are constantly updated or manipulated to give a wanted result.
mid-January it all died, like nothing, no one buying not a word. that was after an excellent November December. Boom fell off a cliff, and it was after the issues that shut off people's payments error.
Thoughts? am I being too hard on Etsy? does this make Etsy hate me and directs what little traffic to a copywrite infringer and illegal shop? Wonder why lawyers are not involved? Maybe they should be focussing on all the copywright infrigments on Etsy.
Do you have another shop? This one only shows one sale. If it is this shop, then Etsy usually puts the shop on hold on the first sale, usually needing an ID.
And Etsy has nothing to do with your sales. It's up to you to drive traffic to your shop.

If you have another shop that's sold "2k worth of product" you need to declare it in the shop from which you're posting and vice versa.
You made $2,000 on one sale? What did you sell?
BTW, Etsy brings traffic to their website. It's up to each individual seller to bring buyers to their shop with good SEO.
If you never got the verification, did you pursue this with Etsy? Verification is mandatory and Etsy does have the right to suspend shop until a bank account is verified.
With any business and e-commerce platform, the seller works to find out how best to present their items on that platform.
Have you read the rules? Studied the fee base so that you can account for fees (which you will find anypalce).
Etsy provides the platform and tools. It is up to the seller to learn how to best utilize the tools so their shop shines.
What was the $3 you mentioned in the title? A fee? A sale?
Well honestly you don't really have a finished shop, do you?
That makes you look fly-by-night and dodgy. You have no investment. If I were Etsy I would be wary of you, too.
Take some time to finish your shop and learn how the site works instead of howling at perceived injustices.
And if you are licensed to sell that artwork, make it clear.
Etsy isn't going to help you if you don't help yourself.
" Wonder why lawyers are not involved? Maybe they should be focussing on all the copywright infrigments on Etsy."
While you are researching, look up "Safe Harbor".
Thank you all, advise taken.
