I am always on my phone so I definitely respond to buyers within 24 hrs.  When I saw that I didn't get a star seller badge because I didn't reply to messages in a timely manner, I downloaded to see what message I may have missed.  They were messages from sellers saying "Thank you for your purchase".   Really ETSY?  what sense does that make????

That is how the message matrix works.  You can read the rules on your sellers’ dashboard.

You can mark the message as spam, and then it won't count towards next months calculation.

You got a message that you didn’t reply to, Etsy has made it clear that all messages must be responded to. This is the third thread on this so far today, so a lot of sellers aren’t reading the rules to get their badge.
