Etsy design awards submission queries

Hi everyone, i am planning to submit a 1/1 handmade bag for the design awards 2025, since its one of a kind , i wanted to understand what this means ,

“If your item is vintage or one of a kind, we require that you put this item on hold from the time you enter until finalists are announced in September. If your vintage or one-of-a-kind item sells during this period, your submission becomes null and void.”

how do we put a item on hold and how should be moving forward.. really confused??

You will have to have that item listed, and in front of the title say - not for sale, on hold for Etsy awards. Then hope than no one buys it in that time. That's all you can do

But they have mentioned that we can put it on hold, like is there any option for that?
