I keep getting random messages from ETSY CONVERSATIONS but they don’t have the Etsy badge on them and senders are lots of different things like From or Emily support saying my site has been suspended as I won’t verify my account for payment ?? I’m sure it’s a scam but has anyone else had this issue?
Tons of people have had these, especially new sellers and some have fallen for it and lost money, lots of money. Just put them in spam and hopefully they will stop sending them to you.

Yeah, about 1,000,000 sellers, and probably more.
The forum was/is full of threads about this.
Thank goodness you didn't fall for it and end up losing 100s or 1000s of dollars like some others.
Put those messages into the SPAM folder.
There have been hundreds of post in here about this--starting last July so yes, others have gotten these and a lot have been scammed out of huge amounts of money.
I did see something about this on the news and one big group of this type scammer was "busted" and they were in an east European country--so a lot are not even in our country.
I also saw a poster in here who reported that as soon as his shop opened he got THIRTY of these within the first hour or so.
Just put them in spam folder and so glad you recognized this for what it was!

Yes I get it from time to time. I mark it as spam. If it doesn't have the etsy badge (one of the rare things etsy has done that was intelligent) you know it isn't real, and please mark it as spam and forget it happened.

Your shop is new and unfinished.
You're in the UK, but don't have necessary shop policies and do not accept returns.
You're selling celebrity portraits, but there's no information if you have permission for that.
Scammers target shops like that.
If you complete your shopfront, you'll look more like a pro that knows what they are doing and less like a target.

Yes a lot of sellers have had this issue going on a year now.
1,000's and 1,000's of sellers have got these messages and many have been scammed out of $1,000's of dollars.
There's also info on the message page right below where a message is alerting sellers to these scams.
"To stay protected, stay on Etsy. Never follow links to other sites, and don’t share contact, account, or financial info with anyone in Messages. Learn how to spot spam."
