Etsy took my money to open the scout and post 1 pictured and then froze my account saying EIN doesn't match IRS records for business name. This has been a common issue apparently. If it didn't match, why take my money. I have the IRS paperwork showing they match. Why not give the option to upload that, instead of keep denying us and taking our money. I paid a lot of money to start this business and it's costing more and more and I can't even sell my product. This is ridiculous. And not to have a customer service phone number makes it even worse. I would like a call from someone.

@StoneCountry: "... doesn't match IRS records for business name." The "Name of Legal Entity" must include both lines on your SS-4. For example "Store Name LLC FirstName LastName Sole MBR"
"I would like a call from someone." Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).

When did you register? It could be the information has not been added to the IRS database. Some have said there is a delay.
How to Update Your Legal Name and Taxpayer Information – Etsy Help Check this to make sure you are entering the information for Etsy correctly, I know in the past that the MBR was to be left off but can't say for sure today.
I have an EIN but I am a sole proprietor and don't have an LLC.
