Discrepancy between views between Etsy Stats and Analytics

To those that follow your Etsy shop items viewed daily at the website analytics, can someone explain why analytic's number of views are so much less than what Etsy's stats show. Some days it can be a very wide discrepancy of views (Like 28 Etsy 13 Analytics). Etsy shows an image of each item they claimed is viewed. Analystics doesn't match this. Which one is correct? Thank you. Karen

They count different things, and many people block Google Analytics from tracking them, so the numbers can never match.

@cindylouwho2, thank you.  That was a simple answer to the question. One day I asked the etsy chat rep that question.  They took it to tech.  And still did not give that answer.

@snidersvintagefinds no, Etsy stats sometimes count bots that GA skips, or as I said, they count different things. 

@myclearstamps You are welcome! There's something like 9 separate points worth mentioning if you want to know everything, but since GA isn't going to work here after July 1, it's not worth going into LOL

Etsy's stats are not known for being accurate.  Views do not have to be of items, they can be of any page in your shop.  Also views are in real time and contain bot views, so are definitely inaccurate until stats updates which only happen a couple of times a day.
