My star seller shipping badge is acting extremely weirdly. I sent out over 20 orders during the current review period, between April 1st and today (June 7th), but Etsy is showing that only 12 of these orders are eligible, and one of them shipped late. The late order was expected, but the remaining baffle me. All of these orders have a listed processing period, all of them have tracking, and were marked as complete within the expected processing period.
It's REALLY bizarre, and I was wondering if anyone has encountered this issue before or if any staff know the reason why?
Hi @AllthepandasArt,
We've double-checked your On-Time shipping metric for the current review period, and we can confirm that it has been updated. Please know that when you shipped an order early without changing the ship-by date, you may expect that the order will show up on your Star Seller after the ship-date has passed.
Thank you very much!
@AllthepandasArt: Are you basing this on the applicable CSV file available from your Star Seller page?
Some possibilities - If the shipper is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. Often recent shipments are not correctly / timely updated. Our experience is that a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status and Star Seller auto update (but not retroactively).
Also, it appears that some orders are not "counted" until after their scheduled ship by date, regardless of when they were actually marked as complete.
The first one might be it, but I've been using this label purchasing company for years, and never noticed an issue like this before. The shipping carrier is USPS, and the tracking info was updated in a timely way. Plus, some of the packages have already arrived, as in marked as Delivered, and it's still not reflected on the CSV.
As for the scheduled ship by date thing, my processing time is written as 3-5 days, and I've been shipping stuff consistently over the past week. At least five of these orders should be shown on the CSV in this case...
It is not having tracking that is looked at. Are all items in transit? If some items are not saying in transit then Etsy considers them not shipped. Do you use the scan sheet or if at the post office get the receipt which gets first scan? If not eligible to use the scan sheet is your carrier scanning then or are they waiting till they return to the post office, If shipping on last day of processing you can run into the scan not happening until the processing time frame is over.
If you shipped recently wait 24 to 48 hours to see if the response changes.
At times Etsy's Aftership software does not catch things in transit. If these were weeks ago I would query Etsy about it.
I do have tracking for everything, and almost all items are either in transit or already delivered. That's why it's so weird. I'll talk to Etsy, but honestly, I have very little faith in Etsy support.
