Hi. Whoever sees this please help me … I made an etsy seller account and I’ve been posting listings for so long and nobody can add anything I post to their cart or buy anything… WHY? I’ve checked my payment settings and everything. I even try it from my own phone to add my own item to my cart and I see what they see. It says “something went wrong and we couldn’t add that to your cart”. I’ve never had any sales because I can’t figure out this problem and etsy support doesn’t help me.
Your shop is working for me. I added to cart and payment methods are available.
Your shop is indexed. You cannot purchase your own items, so that is why you can't add to cart.
You can't purchase from yourself. I only see one post and it goes into my cart just fine, the cherry wallpaper. Could someone have been trying to access your account from your IP address?
I added your only item to my basket just fine.
There have been a lot of glitches on Etsy in the last week so maybe that's it.
If you only ship to the US (or any particular country) and someone from another country tries to add it to their cart, they won't be able to. On your product listing page under shipping, it asks where you will ship to. You must check the countries you will ship to and uncheck the countries you don't want to ship to.
If you want to "test" your own account you cannot buy from yourself...You have to create a new email address, then login to Etsy using that test email address...I recommend everyone test their shops at least once a month to see what your customers see and make sure all is operating smooth because Etsy has lots of issues!
Well - you can always view your own shop in an incognito window, but you may not be able to add to cart, depending on your settings. I highly recommend every Seller buy something on Etsy once in a while, (obviously not from their own shop!) to really see all the emails and alerts our Buyers see.
I'm sorry. I have a similar issue. I set up shop on the 5th, but the setup didn't ask for my bank routing or account number...and it still set the shop up! I've emailed Seller Support twice, and gotten a response that they will investigate and get back with me.
I've tested my shop too and can add stuff to the cart, just can't pay. It says what you said, Oops something went wrong.
At this point, my question isn't how to fix the issue, it's how long does Seller Support normally take to get back with sellers? This is my first introduction to Etsy. . .
