Cannot list new items

When I go to list a new item after I put physical item it freezes?  I hit continue and it goes no where?

Copy a listing 

Copying creates a brand new listing with all of the info from the copied listing in place. From there, you can tweak and publish.

If your shop is open

To copy an active or sold-out listing:

1. Sign in to Etsy.com. 
2. Go to Shop Manager.
3. Go to Listings.
4. Find the listing. 
5. Select Copy from the gear menu.

To copy from one of your public listing pages:

1. Sign in to Etsy.com.
2. Find the Listing Tools links at the top of your public listing page. 
3. Select Copy. 

After clicking Copy from any of these methods, you'll be taken to what looks like the Edit mode for a listing. This is the copy of your listing and not the original.

Make changes as necessary and click Publish when you're done.

The public page is your listing the buyer actually sees.

When you click on it, it has a menu across the top of the photo.  One of the options is "copy".

Use the scroll bar on the right side of the screen.  There are several more questions you have to answer before you can hit continue and move on.

This has never happened before. I can’t move anywhere. Does anyone have a number for Etsy?

This doesn't actually sound like an Etsy problem--it sounds more like a computer problem. Sounds like your system is frozen up. (I always say my computer is constipated.)  Usually clearing the cache/history will help.

As for the "copy" function--it is everywhere as others have described. Just go to one of your listings. At the top you will see a small section that says "listing tools". Mine does not say "copy" it says "duplicate". click that link (whether copy or duplicate" and You can make the small changes needed to make a new listing.

This is definitely an Etsy problem…there have been multiple threads about it and I’m having the same issue…the “core details” page is frozen on three different browsers and despite clearing cache and cookies.

Guess I misunderstood. I thought s/he said they could not scroll or move anything--that all was frozen. My bad.

@ThePurplePuppy @No worries. I’ve been in touch with Etsy (chat and email) and feel like I’m being gaslighted (gaslit?), lol. They keep telling me that everything looks ok on their end. Grrrr. I’ve sent screen shots and told them I can’t scroll to get to the “continue” button and that the screen is frozen. Typically, the response is “manana” along with a stifled yawn. Besides, all of those threads were buried under an avalanche of new shop critique requests.

So, I guess it’s not high on the priority list because there’s the copy workaround and they’re too busy limiting the number of completed sales we can see, squishing our homepage listings to show our shopping carts and eliminating any free shipping guarantee that’s not part of their $35 program. Oh, and sending out emails to new sellers urging them to seek a shop critique.

There is not a phone # nor an email listed. You have to contact Etsy through the help pages and they probably won't help you when something is noted on the help pages on how to do something.

If you contact Etsy via email, be ready, the first one is always a canned response.  Always reply off of the first one you sent.

That just happened to me too on my iPad but I was able to do it on my iPhone with the Etsy seller app.  I hope this isn’t the new way now because I have my listing down to a science and this new way lets Etsy pretty much automatically fill in everything based on my other listings.  I don’t like that.

1. Restart your computer and see if that fixes it

2. Try a different browser. Some errors her are browser dependant.

3 if you are using the app..dont.It can also be buggy.

4 duplicate listings cut your listing time by about 1/3. Ex. You are trying to list a glass vase. Pick another glass vase listing from you dashboard listings page that has the best stats attatched.  Click the gear shaped icon then click COPY( NOT edit) and it will open a copy of the listing. You delete and replace the pho t os, title, decsription and tags. Adjust the price and quantity and shipping info. Publish.

Etsy doesnt have a posted phone number. Anything you find via Google is a scammer. Again copy a live listing don't accidentally edit an existing one or that info will be gone(I think we have all done it) Should you have to use a worksround? No. But it's faster than trying to get ahold of Etsy or have them do anything about it.

I have started to immediately click on the x to banish the one I am copying as I have gotten confused (I am easily confused!) a few times.

I have had 2 Etsy chat convos last week as nothing is working. They told me team trying to fix it as it is not a computer,phone browser problem. But after reading these other messages lm beginning to wonder myself what is going on. My last chat was last night. Been nearly week now and my shop zero sales. Desk top not working properly either. All well never could list on app so year not good atall. Work around don't work either ..Copy paste tool bar um not good .
