So it has been going on since Monday and I think we deserve some answers after this many days since the pinned thread has not a single update.

Any tracking manually entered or entered through a third party shipping service is only showing Pre-Transit.  I am currently up to over 75 now.

This is effecting star seller status.  Will this be addressed?

Do I have to contact Etsy support and give every single one of the over 75 order numbers to get this fixed or will the fix when it is implemented update all the tracking numbers?

It won't be long until my customers start to contact me asking what is going on with their packages and it's not a good look for my shop, or Etsy

For those who were told by a chat rep that they were passing the issue on to a “team” have you received an email? I haven’t heard anything from etsy about this, but was told they would contact me.

I spoke to chat 4 times, as early as March 8, and was told that I would receive an e-mail from them regarding this and that my shipping score would be corrected.  As of today, I still haven't heard back from them.

I never received an email from the "team" but the issue was fixed within a couple of hours after talking on Star Seller chat. My strategy is if the issues is not resolved the next day, I contact customer service again via chat and talk to a different rep. Apparently, different reps take different actions. Those who care about the post-contact review, try to resolve the issue themselves.

Well I tried a different browser and the chat on the dashboard works there but I don't have access to chat from the help center only a phone call and I don't want to try to read out numbers over the phone since I'm dyslexic and get things mixed up with long numbers at times. Our receipts are now showing the pre-transit orders have changed to delivered but I was told it will take 24 hours for the star seller stats to change. So we will see. Star seller stats have often taken longer than 24 hours to show changes for us. It is one of the things I hate about the program. It is so slow to update and at the end of the month that can be a critical fault of the stats not being timely. 

ETA although the orders now show delivered for tracking, they are still being pulled up in the pre-transit area which is a concern. Has the pre-transit designation really been removed from them?

I'm beyond fustrated with the lack of priority with this as well.  Etsy, you created this problem with starting the Star Seller program.  Now I take it seriously have have had the start since day one.  Now I won't becuase of this shipping issue.  I am not happy.  PLEASE can we get an update or a responce about it?

Hear you @LibbyAnnQuilts in my chat I was told engineers are working on this and "hoping" to have it resolved soon. That really does not inspire much confidence for me.

In case you missed it this is a work around I figured out for PS.  It will NOT help past orders, but will help from current ones piling up since Etsy at this point has this issue on the back burner and if offering not a peep in yet another week.

 

After the order has a actual USPS scan on USPS dot com go to the order and edit the tracking number, even if only by one number.  Then go immediately after and edit back to the correct tracking number.  That forces the powers that be to link to the USPS information and the scans will automatically appear.  It does take a bit for the pre-transit part to swap over, but it does.  

 

It is totally a Etsy issue.  PS shows all the scans, as well as every other site I purchase from.

@PrettyVagrant you mean it still shows as pre-transit for a while? Chat changed our messed up orders over to show their delivered status on tracking but the orders are still being pulled up in as pre-transit. So I am concerned whether anything has actually changed that status.

@BirdsongEmporium I am not sure about anything that chat already fixed since they won't fix my 77 orders.  This is for current orders that you can still edit tracking numbers on.  I have been editing mine on etsy once the USPS scans are uploaded on USPSdotcom, which is usually a few hours after pickup.  After the edit everything is linked properly and the pre-transit changes over to in-transit usually under 30 minutes.

@PrettyVagrant sounds like I probably still have a problem then because it has been more than an hour since chat changed the tracking to delivered but the orders are still pulling up as being pre-transit. UGH! They said star seller stats would update within 24 hours but not if the programming still sees them as pre-transit.

@PrettyVagrant May I ask, does your work-around keep the tracking status from reverting back to pre-transit after 24 hours? I think I recall someone else in the forums tried this method and it worked, but then within a day or so they reported the status of their order tracking reverted back to "pre-transit." Sorry I can't find the post now (there are so many on this issue), but I think that was the gist of it. Keeping my fingers crossed for your answer.

Whoa, right after I tested changing the tracking for an order I shipped yesterday all the ones I shipped out last week (and are delivered but were still in pre-transit mode) got changed to delivered status on Etsy. Did changing that one do something to my other orders? Weird timing!

@CuriosityCabinet I was wondering the same thing, does editing the tracking number send another message to the buyer. I don't want to confuse them by editing the number and then editing it back. Can anyone answer this question?

*WORKAROUND:  Edit Tracking Nos. which erroneously show Pre-Transit (see PrettyVagrant's post above).

There is still no Community Announcement regarding this over 2 week long glitch.

ETA I've worked with website programming and the statement makes me wonder whether this is considered a priority or whether something was mucked up so badly that they don't at this time know how to fix it.

I know this is totally DUMB question but how do you "edit the tracking number?" There used to be a button to accomplish that but it is no longer there??? Thanks in advance for your help
