I'm putting this in tech issues hoping someone will look and see that it's a glitch, and not an actual test because it just can't be that anyone did this on purpose. Until then, I'm adding this to my photos ( in a nice format with an attention getting graphic )
Etsy has moved
item DESCRIPTION
way down the page,
please scroll
down to read.
I would not do that since the test is by account. I'm not in the test so I can see the item description just under the cart.
OMG ! You're right, now what !
Thanks so much for that reply, now I've gone and removed them but I'm concerned because as someone else said, if WE can't find them shoppers will certainly have a hard time IF they can even find them.
@ARTandDecorations - Hopefully this test will go away soon. I think the coders ran out of things to keep them busy!
As far as I'm aware, they haven't finished developing the new seller ap.
How do they have time to play Where's Wally / Waldo with the descriptions??
That is exactly what I turned to my hubby and said last night, Where's Wally and he goes .... What's Etsy done now.
".... it just can't be that anyone did this on purpose. "
Sadly, it's not impossible.
This is the same site that does its best to not show shoppers exactly what they have entered into search.
@ARTandDecorations I agree with NanaLetha. Yesterday I was not in the test, so everything looked the same. Today however, I am in the test. And see the Description all the way down on the Left side.
You know, Etsy often says "Buyers tell us..." whenever they roll out something. Sellers are Buyers too. And I think it's safe to assume that not one person said they thought this was a good idea; to make Buyers scroll on down in order to view the Description.
This change is not site-wide, yet. I have already been putting a final image on all my relists telling people it is the end of the images and to go to the description, in the hope of keeping them from the evil black box hole that sucks shoppers into the irrelevant Etsy search abyss. I don't know if this final image of mine will also indirectly help with this or not, but maybe this suggestion will help you?
Tests are BY USER, not by shop. And they come and go. I wouldn't bother.
