is there a problem, its on a loop asking my name and email repeatedly, i enter name and email but no one there to help, why is chat box available there with no one to help

The only thing I see different about chat is that the box is gone and there is a blue circle with a white blob in the middle.  When I click on it it doesn't ask for my name or anything else.  There's just a space to type in your question or problem.  Are you getting the request for your name after you click on the blue box and state your problem or before you state your problem?

yes looks different like you say blue circle with chat symbol inside.  i state problem then asks on a loop for name and email.  then I dont get any help

Probably not linked and you initiated the link - not someone else - I can't remember what they asked me for the last time I used chat but I don't remember being asked my name but usually we are so mad when we contact chat that we just want answers and do whatever they ask!  LOL

thanks, i was a little frantic, i thought seemed strange that it gets me nowhere and mentions some third party stuff that I dont remember from before.  tried again but still a loop asking name email yet with  no help available thereafter.  odd

YEP!  I cant get it to work either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive tried all browsers, cleared cookies n such. No luck and i need help immediately! I am disgusted by Etsy. More than ever thought possible

My first thought about it being changed was that it must be run by the same bots that are running everything else on Etsy now.

Just the other day I saw a Thread/s where Chat appears to have changed.  And it asked for email and mentioned third party stuff.  Actually I'm not fond of this; there are too many FAKE emails from Scammers pretending to be Etsy Support.  
Let me see if I can find the Thread which said Chat has changes to it.

Yes, it changed but my issue is that is does NOT work.  I tried all browsers, deleted cookies n cache, restarted computers. Nothing works. It is stuck on an old message thread and does not refersh or start new. That is a huge issue and ADMINS are ignoring me

ADMINS are ignoring me" Keep in mind that this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).  Have you tried opening a support ticket through Dashboard > Community & Help > Contact Us

I used it yesterday, I entered my name/email and somebody answered.

it did go back to enter name and email after i’ve entered it already, I just ignored it and just typed in my question and it worked.
