So I just had a buyer reaching out because they struggled to find items of their size in my shop. How did they land in my shop that offers ZERO items in their size? Via our beloved Etsy search 🥳 Filtering by size! Saying that it feels like scrolling through everything at this point, stream of random listings unrelated to what they're after.
I know this topic was already brought up in here, but this is direct feedback from a confused potential buyer who was/ is ready to spend some money here and now will most likely walk away. My shop has nothing suitable for them, but other shops do. And they can't reach these shops. This is beyond ridiculous at this point. Buyer pointed out in following message that they'll be using other platforms that offer proper search with functioning filter options. And added that it's silly and Etsy sellers will lose out.
As said, I know it's nothing new but it hits differently when it comes from an actual random buyer. Cause it confirms that problem is real and massive. People start to notice what we already noticed. Search at this point is one giant malfunction. And who's gonna bother with such nonsense? Unbelievable
