Hello! My sign shop on etsy is called Authentic Signs! I am currently selling aluminum signs with vinyl graphics applied. All of my designs are original or spinoffs on real signs you see in everyday life. Other signs I sell are miniature versions of real traffic and safety signs. Some of my graphic elements are hand drawn and then re-drawn on the computer. Often, I just get my pen tool out on the computer and just start drawing away.

I am currently experimenting with some new signs that I will release later here on etsy that are hand painted and stained. All of the signs are made from reclaimed pallet wood that I have been cutting down into sign blanks.

I noticed there was no team for sign makers & sign admirers so I wanted to start one here on Etsy. I make all of my signs at home and hope to grow my etsy business. I am looking forward to networking and meeting other sign makers!

You can introduce yourself here! Please try and favorite all the shops you find on here!

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hi! Dandelion woods is a home decor and gift shop. We specialize in wood and canvas signs but offer other products too and just now getting into offering wood burned signs I'm so excited because wood burning is a lot of fun! We are two sisters from Washington, the two oldest in a family of 8. We're both currently nannies and enjoying crafting on the side.

Hi everyone! I am very new to etsy and I'm still waiting for my first sale. How long did it take you guys to get rolling? I only have ten items but I'm tentative to make more if they won't sell. I want to promote on social media but I don't want to be annoying

Re: Introduce Yourself

hello! I've only been selling locally but I was doing so well and I loved it so much that I wanted to take it one step further!! ok enough about me

I've only been open one day, I've researched so much but I'm still stuck!

I've read to join a team would be beneficial- did that
then I read to join treasuries..... ummm what? I'd like to join one!

also just wondering how people felt when a similar shop to your own clicked your favorite button (which I assume is the same as following, though I'm not sure) I dont know if people liked it or felt like it was competition?

had these questions and I cant figure out how to create a discussion, so I'm really sorry that I've posted it here in the introduced section I just didn't know what to do

thank you for ALL help

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hey ya’ll! I just started my shop about a month ago but have been selling locally just about all summer long. I work a full-time job, but my hope is that one day I won’t have to do that anymore! I’d much rather enjoy being creative instead  I have my first art fair next month, so I’m busy getting ready for that while also adding new items to my shop. I was super excited to find this team! Nice to meet everyone!

Re: Introduce Yourself

Our shop is a family affair. My son does almost all of the graphic work and sign work for our graphics company. My daughter also does graphics work as well. We are using the Etsy store as a method of showcasing items we have made for local customers. Almost all our work is custom and is created based on client requests.

We make signs for local businesses in our physical shop but don't have a lot of those listed in our Etsy shop. If you'd like to see our signage and dimensional signage, look to our FB page https://www.facebook.com/ImpactGraphix?ref=hl and you can see the variety of signage that we create.

We would like to make more signs on Etsy - If anyone can give me advice on how to list signs on our Etsy shop, I would appreciate it.

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hi everyone!

I love all the feedback and support for us wood workers! I also do print work, which is currently up in my shop. Soon, I will post my woodwork and signs, just finishing up some last touches before they're camera ready.

For those who have successful Esty shops, what do you think has helped you become successful and stand out on Etsy? Love to hear some tips or words of advice!
Thanks!
Caroline

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hi everyone. I wanted to introduce myself. I am Jennifer, SAHM to three school aged children and now that the littlest is off to kindygarten I was able to open my shop up in August. There's so much to learn about Etsy, from etsy, time management, tax stuff etc. I have already learned so much from the forums and am branching out into teams. I looked through some of your posts and have already learned. So excited. My biggest hang up about signs is the shipping. I have bigger ones made but figuring out shipping for a 25 x 25 inches wood star is $36 to ship has me scared to put anything up. I must be missing something. I went to all the shipping sites but that was the best I came up with. I just got off subject. Oops. Anyways, just wanted to peek in and say hello.

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hi I've just joined the team today and I'm delighted to have found you. I hand paint signs using planed soft wood or recycled hardwood where I can find it. I'm loving this new enterprise after many years as a secondary teacher. Life is good x

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hi there! My name is Kelsey, owner of GlitterGirlWorkshops, and I sell sign art - also known as letter brush art - that I learned to paint at Disneyland. I use characters, such as mermaids, dragons, and fairies, to create letters. My name signs make great gifts for birthdays, baby showers, and weddings. After rising through the ranks at Disneyland, working as a shift lead at my stand, I soon discovered I could bring the same quality artwork and customer service I was providing at Disneyland to the Etsy market at a far lower price. Crowned "Glitter Girl" by my friends and family after my days at Disney left me covered in it, I decided to name my store after my elfish nickname. I am new to etsy and very excited to join this team. Feel free to check out my shop. Now through December 25th, use coupon code XMAS10 to get 10% off your order.
Love and Pixie Dust,
Kelsey

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hi, I'm Natalie. I've been making signs for a little over a year now. My shop is a joint venture with my husband. We try really hard to come up with unique designs, sayings and signs. He's super creative and artistic and he draws all our designs by hand and comes up with the sayings on his own. I do all the painting and figure out how to make it all work. We very much enjoy our little side business together and want to turn it into a real and substantial income for our family of seven.

Hi,
Great to be on this board!
I make CNC engraved signs on reclaimed hardwood, and burn the face of it for contrast.
PS I've got a Christmas sale on now!

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hi y'all. My name is Lacey. My etsy shop is SavannahBsBoutique. I have been making signs for friends and family over the last couple years. Just recently I decided to use my cricut and make signs for etsy with vinyl. My shop has a couple signs in it, I am still coming up with new sayings for signs. I am still trying to get enough viewers and business for my shop to really take off. As of now I am trying to de-stash my supplies to make room for new products. Come check out my shop and any advice would be great! Thanks all...Lacey <3

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hey all,

My boyfriend and I started our etsy shop back in October 2015 but we hadn't been able to focus on it until after the new year. We mostly work with reclaimed wood and while we create home accessories I really love making signs and plan to add more to our shop. We've been on an "etsy high" lately trying to research as much as we can about how to drive more traffic to our shop, SEO, improve conversions etc but we have to balance this with our other responsibilities. I look forward to getting to know you all, learning from you and sharing the few tricks we've picked up!
