When I open the ShopShaper Application it says "Unable to load Java Runtime Environment"... Not a clue what that is or how to fix. ShopShaper worked for me last year, maybe as late as last spring. Is there simple fix for it? I'm on OSX 10.9.5 Thanks.
YAAAAAY it's working! I'm adding a blurb to the beginning of the descriptions on part of the listings.
Unfortunately you don't have a way to select/deselect sections and the search seems to only work page by page? Not real clear on that.
There's 2 sections I do not need the blurb on. I have over 600 listings but I only need to add a blurb to 500 -- If you have an easy way to do that, please let me know.
You weren't slow at all. I was just impatient. I've spent so much time, that I don't have right now, on making these changes in my description since yesterday morning that I was just really impatient and agitated. All is well now. Thanks.
Are you still in business? I see that your social media sites (Facebook & Twitter) haven't been used since 2013. Due to that, I am a bit leery about buying an activation key and not getting a response.
I was testing ShopShaper and noticed the categories in the program are old and don't reflect Etsys new categories. When I preview, it's showing old/wrong categories, and the new categories aren't even a choice in the program. Please advise, as this would be a HUGE problem. Thanks!
I made changes to a listing and published it to see if categories changed. It appears that if I don't make any changes to categories while editing, it keeps the newer Etsy categories intact even tho it shows old categories when previewing. Am I understanding this correctly?
Yes, you are correct. The current version of ShopShaper still has the old categories. The new version will have the new one. Editing other parts of listings is not going to affect the existing category information of your listings.
I keep getting a "no change" error. I have updated my JAVA, restarted my computer and re-downloaded the shop sharper tool and it has not helped at all. Please advise.
Thanks a lot for your message. Yes, that is standard behaviour of the Mac OS when it encounters apps that are not downloaded directly from the app store.
To change your settings you have to go to Preferences and to Security & Privacy. There is a place that says "allow applications downloaded from:" … Please check "Anywhere", save your settings and try opening the file again.
How to search the item which is not in section. as our shop has filled all the section and few items are not in those section how to search those item??
As we used search box top right corner, but its not functioning as expected.
Thanks for your question. There is a "load all listings" option at the bottom part of ShopShaper where the pages are shown. You can load all listings first and then do your search.
Unfortunately, ShopShaper does not yet support listing variations and I assume that your listings have variations, right? We are still working on a new version with variation support and can send you a refund for the key you bought.
