Getting Democrats to the polls in November could be difficult if they dislike the Democrat Nominee almost as much as Trump. 
So if Sanders the nominee between Trump's bs & Bernie's old/older statements it's likely Trump reelected.
Now part of my thoughts on a few things mentioned by Sen. Sanders include: George Wallace would never have had my vote for Governor, however, he did do quite a bit for Alabama's State Parks. So a "questionable" person may have done some good, but you need to balance their life work. 
However, maybe on the flip-side of this coin, the US & many US Corporations do not appear to hesitate to deal with Communist Countries, from investments to using their labor force. How individuals/citizens are treated seems to be ignored & of course there are other issues.
And while I highly value a person of integrity & honesty (& in the case of a Politician when push comes to shove, Country over Party) at times I shudder at how what a person said or did years earlier is "used against them". Depending on what the topic is, there are times I prefer to see a person change their mind, whether only in small degrees or a complete 180. To never be open to new thoughts, ideas, to never acknowledge that times have changed & new solutions or tactics might be the right answer, is possibly past stubbornness & more ignorance.
The coming weeks are definitely going to be very interesting.

Until now, health officials said they'd hoped to prevent community spread in the United States. Ultimately, we expect we will see community spread in this country," Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, said Tuesday at a news conference...

Officials said that Americans should continue to practice protective measures -- hand-washing, staying home from work when sick -- while local officials should make sure systems are in place -- teleschooling, working remotely -- should face-to-face interactions need to be reduced. Health care facilities should be prepared to increase telehealth systems and delay elective surgeries should the need arise, they said.

Messonnier noted that every community's response will be different. What's appropriate for a community with local transmission may not be appropriate for a community in which no local transmissions has occurred.

No, you do NOT want panic created. Yes, people should be made aware of the situation. Could the WHO be correct that the virus has reached a tipping point? I'm not a scientist or doctor & not privy to all the data available. What Trump needs to do is address the situation - the concerns of the average individual in the USA & those related to commerce/business - honestly & openly. To just brush aside questions, to pretend that somehow he is a 'superhero' who can prevent the virus from traveling into the Country & that international commerce will not be affected gets to the point of insanity. The two words "international commerce" say it all & some Countries have already begun to be more deeply affected than others. The toll on People in other Countries has been greater.

But you know, I basically get the feeling that Trump more concerned about Money & how a slow-down could affect his reelection than he is about the Health Issue that is currently staring everyone in the face.

It definitely will hit the working class hard especially, because of their economic situations. I could not count the times I have seen employers pressure their employees to work when sick, part of the problem not staying home. You are correct Trump's more concern about money, WallStreet and his reelection than the current health issue at hand.  Oh well, it's not a pandemic yet in this country but the key word's yet so let us hope someones at the helm other than Trump responsible enough to make the correct decisions.

The other day I was in need of a 3m full face respirator mask for a sandblasting project. I went to 3 hardware stores, 2 of the stores were sold out of masks, one of them saying an elderly lady bought 15 cases of 300 count disposable masks buying up all that they had. They said that recently,  they cannot keep them in stock. I finally found some reusable respirators at the 3rd store. Makes me wonder if people are already stocking up for an epidemic

If news reports correct, one person in California has been diagnosed with the Virus from unknown person to person contact. This is what probably has health officials worried. People who say traveled internationally & 'picked up' the virus may exhibit no symptoms & never have any ill-affects but a person they have casually come in contact with may become ill, to a varying 'degree'.
Trump is looking for someone to blame for the Virus & the toll it might possibly take on US residents, the slow-down that has started across the world's economy (actually this is his #1 priority) & the affect on the stock market. He should be acting like a POTUS & "World Leader" not a sniveling 8 year old.

A new study released Thursday by a pair of MIT researchers reveals that, contrary to claims from the U.S.-backed Organization of American States (OAS), there was no fraud in Bolivia's October 20, 2019 elections—an accusation used by the OAS and others as a pretext for supporting the coup in the country that deposed President Evo Morales and replaced him with an unelected right-wing government.

There was no election fraud. The fraudulent right wing military coup in Bolivia was carried out with Trump administration support.

Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), co-director, Mark Weisbrot, said in a statement that the OAS has a lot of explaining to do after facilitating the coup through faulty information. 

Our results were straightforward. There does not seem to be a statistically significant difference in the margin before and after the halt of the preliminary vote. Instead, it is highly likely that Morales surpassed the 10-percentage-point margin in the first round.

There is not any statistical evidence of fraud that we can find—the trends in the preliminary count, the lack of any big jump in support for Morales after the halt, and the size of Morales' margin all appear legitimate. All in all, the OAS' statistical analysis and conclusions would appear deeply flawed.

"The OAS greatly misled the media and the public about what happened in Bolivia's elections, and helped to foster a great deal of mistrust in the electoral process and the results," said Weisbrot.

OAS is set to monitor the new election on May 3, which Morales has been barred from running in.

I was on Twitter watching the videos of what was supposedly happening in Bolivia. As soon as I tweeted that it did not appear to me that the media was reporting accurately, I got a flurry of troll tweets.  Watching the kangaroo style tribunals done by military against the indigenous leaders concerned me. They did not have representation and were immediately found guilty by 3 military personnel. The look of bewilderment on the faces of the indigenous peoples told a different story. Further investigation proved to me that right wingers were behind the coup & the installation of an unelected right wing politician.

It is frightening to see how unaffected right wingers are when it comes to human suffering caused by their propaganda mills.

Trump must be upset that he's going to have to pay attention to Science, on top of the fact that something like this could happen anytime, anywhere. It doesn't make a difference who the POTUS is. And it's possibly sunk in that the average person is concerned & that brushing the virus off as a "Hoax" being emphasized to hurt him politically isn't going over too well. Hopefully he does not turn this trip into a PR Stunt.

It's evident his concern is more about the effect on the stock market than the impact that this virus could have on the population. The way the medical field is right now I have very little faith if any of this will get any better. One has to think about those that cannot afford insurance I heard of an incident in my state where a person who needed immediate surgery due to infection was turned away at the emergency room because at the time it was not deemed life-threatening and they did not have insurance. I remember back when Obama ran and there was a bunch of rhetoric that there would be death panels etc.... if ACA was passed. In my opinion, they already exist they are called the insurance companies, one could find the conflict when they find the same persons of these hospital administrators, directors being shareholders of these Wallstreet speculations companies that insurance companies belong to. 30,000 people die every year because of the lack of getting medical attention, watch some of these rallies where there are 15,000 + people then imagine double that then one gets the gravity of the loss of life needlessly. Over an 11yr period of time that's 1/3 of a million lives.Sickening IMHO because it's class warfare. The key problem is you have some that will wait thinking they have caught the common flu and decide to wait it out because they have been turned away at emergency rooms or they figure they will be because they cannot afford insurance but in our society evidently that's an acceptable loss because as long as investors are happy and are pulling in dollars all is good

trump lies about the number of cases of coronavirus, doesn't address real concerns for several weeks and then whines those trying to give information are out to get him. Only he can make a virus about him being the victim. His triggered son is just as vile as he is. How two white men born into wealth can sell the victim thing to anyone is fricken amazing.

I think questioning the actual number of cases is reasonable when some might be worried about finances and not get tested just hoping it will pass. In some instances the test wasn't even available, that is a trump failure and likely a direct result of him dismantling things put in place by President Obama. Does a president have the option of making testing free to anyone with symptoms or contact with someone who is concerned. I read an article that some in forced isolation received medical bills, questioning it but still no answers.

The market dropping was the only thing that got trump to even pay attention. It should not have taken him this long to address the public, or better yet get actually qualified people to while he stands there surprised lives are lost by the flu. Qualified does not include pence who is to starry eyed to even manage to say junior is spewing crap. What a cluster their whole admin is.

New York Sen. Charles Schumer is pushing for the coronavirus vaccine to be fully covered by Medicare once it is ready.

Schumer said that senior citizens are among the population that needs the vaccine the most and should not "have to choose between shelling out or going without."

Immunization coverage varies by vaccine under current Medicare rules, Schumer said.

That being said who knows whether testing will be free I highly doubt it no profit to be made

Personal here but my Mom lost three siblings before she was even born. One to the measles, on passed at 6 months, the other died in 1918 from the flu. Why did the eldest survive? Who knows, but some things stick in your mind and maybe because of this family history you always wonder why parents don't vaccinate their children or why Flu Shots aren't just free.
From the monetary standpoint, if everyone could get a flu shot & not have to think about paying for it, in the Long Run How Much Money would be saved? Trump should like that idea - less people getting sick, not causing their employers to lose money & these folks might end up having a few extra bucks to spend & keep the economy really humming.
Obviously this Virus is different. I believe it has been mentioned that people can be infectious but exhibit no symptoms & if all they get is a short time of feeling poorly or not really feeling ill at all, they probably don't even think of visiting a doctor. 
Also, maybe it's just me but if this Virus is still mutating (or maybe it already has & is now stable) a vaccination may take longer than people hope for.

The experts I've seen interviewed or read estimate about a year before a vaccine is ready for humans. It is being worked on but has to be safe.

I don't know if all provinces do it the same but in Ontario you can even get the flu shot at any pharmacy, easy for those who work hours interfere with a drs appt. Free for all because it costs less than if the flu becomes widespread. Preventative medicine costs less.

I thought about what might stop trump from enacting something sooner and I think it comes down to denial. To him out of sight means it doesn't exist so what better way to keep the infected numbers low than to not do wide spread testing. Deaths might get trickier so hopefully someone wakes him up.
