Welcome, @ReplacementHardware. I hope you do well with your pattern sites. And congrats on your hard work. I have no idea how people can run two different shops in the etsy marketplace - nevermind two marketplace shops and two pattern shops.
Hey, I am sure that etsy will offer you a "2 for 1" discount! [snort]
I once asked them if they would be providing a discount if you used etsy plus and pattern. I never got a reply! Fancy that!
Thanks so very much! I think in this shop it's the Trellis theme. Haven't quite decided if I'll stick with that or maybe change. I have 'Stripe theme' in my other shop, or at least I'm pretty sure that's what it's called, lol.
Running both shops isn't too bad. For my Flatware, it's mostly just small changes for each and each listing. This one will be just a bit more, but I'm hoping to start 'decreasing' my collections, so that's my incentive.
I so do not want to be the person who dies and then when the family comes to clean out everything all they say is 'What A Hoarder!!!!' And I could really use some room to start another project I'm thinking of!
Life is a 'Collection'!!
P.S. I don't think I'll need to worry about the '2 for 1`, lolo
This is my Pattern website:
I am using the Mosaic theme. I found the site was easy to set up. I like that I can edit my Pattern listings to be different from my Etsy shop. I'm working on setting up a blog.
My only issue so far is trying to connect to Mailchimp. I have read lots of info both on Etsy and Mailchimp and still can't get it to connect. Mailchimp says it's on Etsy's side. I emailed Etsy Support Friday, called Saturday and STILL have not heard back. I really hope support is better than this.
Overall, I like Pattern and the ease of setting it up. So glad to have found this team!
@MagnoliaStudioArt, I wish I could help you out with mailchamp. I tried setting it up quite a while ago and gave up.
I hope someone can come along and help you out with it.
Welcome aboard.
Thanks @AtMemoryLane for trying to help with my Mailchimp situation. It's really frustrating! I did hear back from Etsy Pattern Support and they said they were aware of the issue but also said they prioritize identified bugs by impact on their marketplace and I won't hear from them unless they have additional information to share. Sounds like this isn't a priority to them, which baffles me as this is the only way we can generate an email list and Mailchimp is the only provider Etsy allows. Oh well, I'll just keep plugging along and cross my fingers they will come up with a fix. 🙂

Hi, Help please someone, I am not getting a lot of help from Pattern help. my new Pattern site cant be reached, I have checked with my domain host and they say it is all ok their end. This is the message received if I type my domain into google. I've checked proxy and windows diagnostics without any luck. I have worked hard on it and really just wanted it to go live so I can start promoting it. Can anyone please suggest help
Judith at Isabella Violetta Botanicals.
This site can’t be reached
isabella-violetta-botanicals.com took too long to respond.
Try:
@IsabellaVioletta when I go to your domain, it redirects me back to your pattern domain of https://isabellavioletta.patternbyetsy.com/. (But at least it takes me somewhere and I'm not getting an error.)
On your Pattern dashboard, under Domains, mine includes the www, so it's www.funkydreams.com. You might want to double check yours.
Also, did you double check that your domain provider updated your A records. Here's the link and instructions:
Etsy Help article on Pattern Domains: https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000337787-Connecting-a-Third-Party-Domain?segment=selling
And specifically, the two DNS addresses you'll need to check:
First, edit your A record information for your root domain.
Next, edit your CNAME records for your subdomain.
Not sure what else I can suggest. It can take a few hours for your domain to be updated, so that could also be part of the problem. I'm not sure how long ago you updated it.
@IsabellaVioletta Its up and running for me, looks good!
What a fun site! I love your items. 🙂
VillageFramingAndArt ….. Thank you! Pattern is so easy to do. I really can't take credit for any of it! LOL! I used the Mosiac Design! Thanks for looking! Jen : )
My Pattern store is www.kohatupatterns.com
I’m using Trellis as my theme. Still have some work to do- need to put up and announcement for example.
Thanks everyone for sharing your stores. It’s great to see how everyone else is using the Pattern service!
Love the shop, @KohatuPatterns. The trellis theme really makes your quilting work pop. Great Choice.
Welcome to the dark side of etsy - pattern. I hope you are successful.
Mine is charmainezoe.com
Only set it up this month and finally finished transferring the domain name I've used for the last 12 years to it today and got it all up and running successfully. I'm using the Swatch theme as I have several categories of cards and this one works well with collections.
Wow! @CardsbyCharmaineZoe your cards are beautiful! The design planning (never mind the work involved afterwards) must take you days/weeks. Your pattern site looks great. So bright and inviting.
Good Luck.
I agree with @AtMemoryLane ! Your cards are amazing!
Looks great, @CardsbyCharmaineZoe
Your cards are lovely! May I ask: are your items listed on BOTH your Etsy and your Pattern site? I notice that you are using Gallery view for your photos, and that doesn't seem to work for me. I am forced to use the vertical list view for my "Pattern only" items.
This is my new Pattern site.
www.shopparatti.patternbyetsy.com
It is a work in progress. Hopefully Google will pick up the site before the holiday shopping season.
I get a big "Your connection is not private!" warning when I click on your link. Others seeing this?
I am sorry, @Shopparatti, but I got the same message as @romaarellano. I would love to see your new site but am unable to.
Good Luck.
